YOUAREATHLETE National Junior Showcase: Route Runners

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It was a great weekend in Houston and the athletes came from all over the United States to compete against the best in the YOUAREATHLETE National Junior Showcase. The beautiful turf fields and the surrounding areas served as a perfect setting to accommodate the families that made the trip. The WR MVP came out of the blocks hot showing his hips and feet in the drills session. Reyna is an aggressive route runner pumping his arms in and out of cuts, sinking his hips and exploding out of breaks. He plays with Cat Takeover for 7v7 and he took over in the 7v7 periods, hauling in multiple touchdowns throughout the weekend. DaDa is a very heady receiver. He knows where the windows are and how to create separation. This all stems the 4.0 gpa, honor student's, study habits. He is the epitome of student of the game and it shows. He lit up the defenses in 7v7, there was not another receiver that had nearly as many catches this weekend. The soon-to-be Sophomore has very good size and speed and he used that to his advantage this weekend. Tyler has the great ability to body some of these defensive backs. He was able to get open on under routes as well as stretch the field and haul in 50/50 balls. Robinson has a tall and lean frame for his age. He has 3 more seasons of high school football coming up, so you can bet that he'll put on a some inches and a few more pounds. Jeremiah did not duck smoke either, he sought out reps against the top defensive backs at camp and won his fair share of those battles. Kris came out and had his swagger on full showcase, Gold chain, Lebron "fruity pebble" cleats, and he backed it up. He runs crispy routes, understands how to get open in zone coverages and uses his size to his advantage. The defensive backs witnessed what Boobie was really about in 7v7 as he found the end zone on multiple occasions and caught a few under routes as well. This young man has very good hands, not just for his age, but in general. Cox has a ways to go, but he is well ahead of the game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
