Nate Spivey Jr. Nate Spivey Jr. 6'0" | 200 lbs | DB Salpointe Catholic | 2025 State AZ DB, Salpointe Catholic ’25
Spivey proved to be a legit game changer in 2023, picking off 7 passes as a SS. On top of his ball hawk ability, Spivey looks like a well polished safety as he’s shown the ability to fly around sideline to sideline displaying excellent range, and processes pass/run reads extremely quick. Athletic build and frame at 6’0″ 200lbs with a big upside as we creep into the season. Spivey will be touted with a big role and I wouldn’t be surprised to see some D1 attention come in.
Sir Stokes Sir Stokes 6'2" | 180 lbs | ATH Yuma Catholic | 2025 State AZ , ATH, Yuma Catholic ’25
Stokes racked up 7 INT’s and is a dynamic playmaker all around the board for Yuma Catholic. Really good speed and range with excellent ball skills. Long frame and build at 6’3″ 180lbs with a nice leaping ability, providing him with the advantage to go up and deflect or snag those contested balls. Stokes is a huge piece to that Yuma Catholic squad and will have a big responsibility on both sides of the ball this year, giving him a great opportunity to rise his stock.
Grady Crandall Grady Crandall 6'2" | 180 lbs | DB Highland | 2026 State AZ , DB, Highland ’26
Crandall proved his ballhawk ability playing against a ton of Arizona’s powerhouse teams and top ranked players, as he picked off 6 passes during the 2023 season. He displayed an excellent football IQ and understanding of responsibilities, while possessing a ton of tools in the box such as route recognition, instincts, anticipation, burst, ball skills, strength at the POC, and range in the back half at Safety. At 6’3″ 185lbs, this is another kid I think will and should draw that D1 attention soon.
Grant Dooling, DB/WR, Ironwood Ridge ’25
Dooling totaled 6 INT’s on the year and will return for another potential big season. Dooling proved to be a lockdown CB for Ironwood Ridge, and isn’t your typical corner. He’s super physical with excellent strength at the point of contact and has shown the ability to deliver big hits when he gets squared up. Rapid, violent hands at the LOS to frequently reroute WR’s and does a great job anticipating the throw and shows a nice burst on the ball. An impressive player that has breakout ability in 2024.
King Covarrubio, DB, Highland Prep ’26
In 10 games played, Covarrubio snatched 6 INT’s and made a statement during his Jr. campaign. He’s a versatile player for Highland Prep and will be one of their key guys they’ll rely on here in 2024. Big play ability on both sides of the ball and flashes some solid burst, speed, and COD at the 2A level.
