Rarely in New Mexico has three players from the same school and same recruiting class all signed with Power 5 schools. It's possibly never happened before. But it might happen in 2025. La Cueva QB [player_tooltip player_id='611098' first='Cameron' last='Dyer'], OL [player_tooltip player_id='1118241' first='Mark' last='Handy'] and OLB [player_tooltip player_id='611083' first='Mason' last='Posa'] – the top three players in our updated 2025 rankings – have all been offered by P5 schools and all three recently updated the status of their recruiting.

[player_tooltip player_id='611083' first='Mason' last='Posa']: After taking numerous visits over the past several months, Posa revealed his Top 3 schools on Wednesday night – Oregon, Texas A&M and Wisconsin. Earlier this month, he took an official visit to Wisconsin following official visits to Arizona and Oklahoma State in April. He visited Texas A&M in late March. Posa spoke with Prep Redzone New Mexico about each school in his Top 3:

Oregon: “I liked their coaching staff and watching them practice was incredible. Their facilities were the best I've seen.”

Wisconsin: “I love the campus and the coaching staff wants me really bad. During my visit there I connected really well with the players.”

Texas A&M: “I have a great connection with the LB Coach. I love that they play in the SEC and their facilities are off the charts.”

[player_tooltip player_id='611098' first='Cameron' last='Dyer']: Dyer, the reigning Gatorade Player of the Year in New Mexico, told Rivals.com that he will take four official visits: Arizona State, UTEP, UTSA and Utah. Dyer will take his OV to Arizona State this weekend. Arizona State is recruiting Dyer as an Athlete while UTEP and UTSA are recruiting him as a QB. Utah is recruiting him as a safety. His latest offers include Houston, Tulane and Arkansas State. Dyer spoke with Prep Redone New Mexico about each of the four schools he will visit:

Arizona State: “I love the atmosphere and the environment. I can really see myself performing at a high level on that stage and shocking a lot of people.”

UTEP: “I love the coaches and the energy around the program. They recruit really hard and make me feel really wanted and needed.”

UTSA: “I love the program and the culture that UTSA has built. I have a good relationship with all of the coaches over there.”

Utah: “I love the culture at Utah. I think they are one of the best-coached teams in the country.”

[player_tooltip player_id='1118241' first='Mark' last='Handy']: Handy announced Wednesday that he will take an official visit to Duke this weekend. Next weekend, he will take an official visit to Arkansas (June 7-9) and then an official visit to Minnesota on June 14-16. He took unofficial visits to all three campuses earlier in April and May. He took an official visit to Cal on May 18-19 and an official visit to Baylor on April 27-28. He plans to announce his decision in July.

https://twitter.com/MasonPosa/status/1795983799643148431

https://twitter.com/ParkerThune/status/1795974457762152538

https://twitter.com/MarkHandy75/status/1795847128557789630
