Over 120 prospects filled the Iowa West Sports Plex as they looked to sharpen their skills, compete against other elite talent, and gain exposure to the college coaches in attendance. Marty and myself identified several standout prospects who we believe have the potential to play at the next level.

Here are a few players from the Combine Series who stood out in a BIG way!

[player_tooltip player_id='736411' first='Alec' last='Schindler'] | 2025 | TE | Summerland (NE) | 6'0" 185 lbs

Hudl | Twitter

Summerland's [player_tooltip player_id='736411' first='Alec' last='Schindler'] put together an all-around great performance from the testing session to 1v1s. Alec posted top 5 marks among receivers in two drills with a 4.68 shuttle drill and an 8'11" broad jump. Alec is an interesting prospect because he's listed as a tight end and possesses the blocking ability to fill the role, but he can also run routes and create separation like a receiver. I was very impressed with the suddenness he displays in his route running, showing some nice burst coming in and out of his breaks and the ability to drop his hips. Alec has the strength and physicality to fight off pressing DBs at the line of scrimmage and can complete the catch process through contact. We only got to see Alec as a tight end on Sunday, but don't sleep on him on the defensive side of the ball where he also flashes solid playmaking ability. Alec will be a key player if the Bobcats want to make a deep playoff run.

[player_tooltip player_id='1271437' first='Owen' last='Pins'] | 2025 | DL | Dowling Catholic (IA) | 6'0" 260 lbs

Hudl | Twitter

An absolute dominator on the defensive line! Dowling Catholic incoming senior [player_tooltip player_id='1271437' first='Owen' last='Pins'] earned the DL MVP award after his eye-opening performance. He was especially impressive in 1v1s, where he used his power and explosive "pop" to overwhelm blockers. Pins are very quick off the ball, which he can do through the explosiveness he generates from his hips, and he possesses a lot of power in his punch. On a few occasions, Owen was able to win just off his initial jab, making a swift, powerful strike that threw blockers off balance before he swooped in for the "sack." He makes good use of leverage and maintains a consistent pad level throughout his route. I look forward to watching more game tape on Owen, especially as we work on the Iowa 2025 rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id='1051919' first='Kaisen' last='Jones'] | 2027 | WR | Norfolk (NE) | 5'10" 150 lbs

Hudl | Twitter

They have something cooking out in Norfolk after a pair of Panthers took home the QB and WR MVP awards at the Combines Series. The winner of the WR MVP, [player_tooltip player_id='1051919' first='Kaisen' last='Jones'], seems to be a standout player at every showcase/camp I've seen him at, with Sunday being no different. What's always stood out about Kaisen is his high-level route running and football IQ. For a youngin', Kaisen seems to be very route savvy and can already identify how to attack different looks from defenders. On several occasions, Kaisen was able to get defenders to bite on double moves or to open their hips to create separation. He does an excellent job sinking his hips before exploding out of his breaks. Jones' footwork from his release to the top of the route is precise, with few wasted motions. Strong hands and toughness through contact. Hard not to like what we're seeing from the hungry sophomore!

[player_tooltip player_id='1105154' first='Cameron' last='Bowie'] | 2027 | OL | Urbandale (IA) | 6'0" 260 lbs

Hudl | Twitter

The top OL prospect in Iowa's 2027 class put on a blocking clinic at the Combine Series. Cameron displayed great mobility, physicality, and technique as he consistently locked up some of the top DL prospects in attendance. Despite only going into his sophomore season, Cameron flashes a more advanced skill set for his age. What really stands out about Cameron is how well he can adapt and adjust to different pass rush types. Cameron has the footwork and lateral mobility to mirror speedy, flashy rushers and not allow them to cross his face to get into the backfield. Bowie is also strong enough to take on powerful bull-rushers. He does a great job working his hands inside and maintaining good leverage before anchoring down with his strong base and stonewalling his opponent. Another small thing was that Cam, one of the players who I noticed, gave out "good job/rep" and encouraged other competitors, which I thought was great to see. Wouldn't be surprised to see Cameron make some recruiting noise this summer if he continues performing like he did Sunday.

Make sure to follow @PrepRedzoneNE on Twitter and Instagram to stay up to date with all your Nebraska prep recruiting news.
