Definitely a player set for a bump in the next rankings update. Gretna East's [player_tooltip player_id='1059148' first='Grayson' last='Fisher'] looks like a hidden gem prospect the more I watch him. Grayson was the starting safety for the Griffins and also played receiver on offense. Grayson returns as the team's leading tackler from last season, with 80 total tackles to go, notching two interceptions and a fumble recovery. Grayson projects best to the defensive side of the ball, where he can use his high football IQ and quick instincts to make plays all over the field. I saw him in person this weekend at the Mother's Day 7v7 Showdown and was very impressed with his play there. Defensively, Grayson does a great job communicating what he sees from the offense and can adjust on the fly. He flashes solid range and is aggressive when playing the ball. Fisher also made some tremendous plays at receiver, including some difficult catches in traffic and with defenders draped on him. Lots of two-way upside from Fisher! Also... DON'T kick Grayson's way! Grayson returned two kickoffs back for touchdowns, showcasing his potential to be an overall weapon on the field. Don't sleep!

North Platte St. Pat's [player_tooltip player_id='1059095' first='Jaxon' last='Knisley'] has been raising his football stock by tearing it up on the track. Jaxon has been having a tremendous track season in which he's posted marks of 13.84 in the 110m hurdles, 10.64 100m dash, and a reported 4.42 40-yard dash, establishing him as one of the fastest players in his class. On offense, Jaxon mostly plays running back but has the type of playmaking ability where you can find different ways to use him. His track speed and athleticism transfer very well to the football field where it allows him to juke and outrace defenders left and right. Knisley displays a nice twitch with the ball in his hands but can also absorb contact and dish some out as well, showcasing his toughness on the field. Jaxon is also an asset on defense and special teams with several big-time plays on those sides of the ball throughout his junior tape. Could be the next big-name 8-man player to make waves in this recruiting cycle.

Platteview's [player_tooltip player_id='1059089' first='Brodie' last='Brunssen'] has been high on our radar since his performance at the Stock Up showcase last December. In his first season as a starter, Brodie racked up 25 tackles while showing he can be a menace in the backfield with 7 TFLs and a sack. Brodie started on the offensive and defensive line for the Trojans but projects best on defense at the next level. On defense, Brodie impresses with his quickness off the ball and power to win battles at the line of scrimmage. Brunssen is already a very strong player, but he adds even more explosiveness to his game with the power he can generate from his hips when firing off the ball. Couple that with his use of his lengthy reach (6'10" wingspan), which allows him to strike first and maintain separation from blockers. Good bend, great pursuit, and a sure tackler. Brodie has already earned an offer from Wayne State and should likely add more once summer camps start.

Here's a player ready to step into a bigger role as he goes into his senior campaign. [player_tooltip player_id='245877' first='Landon' last='Tate'] saw action on both sides of the ball last season, playing safety and wide receiver. Landon recorded 24 tackles and two interceptions, with one of those going back for a touchdown. He does a great job analyzing and reading plays from the safety position and is very quick to break on the ball with the closing speed to get to his spot in a hurry. Landon is a well-rounded safety who can make plays in pass coverage and is more than willing to step up into the box to take RBs on. Tate should also be a bigger part of the offense after hauling in five receptions for 121 yards and two receiving touchdowns. Tate uses his speed very well to get behind defenses and provide his QB with a deep threat. Landon has also been tearing it up on the track with a huge spring season. He's posted a PR of 10.85 in the 100m dash and boasts a 4.5 40-yard dash... kids got wheels! Looking forward to seeing what the summer has in store for Landon.
