Several colleges including Limestone, North Carolina Central and Livingstone were all on hand to coach over 50 prospects through the L-Drill, 40-yard dash, pro shuttle and broad jump along with individual drills.
We’ll have much more in depth analysis on what we saw from the drills and from some of these individual players later, but we wanted to quickly highlight who walked away with MVP honors as nominated by the coaches from Saturday’s event.
Let’s start on the offensive side of the football. At the quarterback position, Westover’s Zachary Evans Zachary Evans 6'0" | 175 lbs | QB Westover | 2025 NC , Hank Nunnery Hank Nunnery 5'10" | 175 lbs | QB Orange | 2025 NC of Orange, Hunt’s Carson Jones Carson Jones 6'0" | 200 lbs | QB Wilson Hunt | 2026 NC and Cooper Pleasants Cooper Pleasants 6'1" | 180 lbs | QB Wakefield | 2027 NC of Wakefield were all MVPs. A trio of receivers won awards, starting with Ethan Driver Ethan Driver 6'2" | 170 lbs | WR DAVIE County | 2026 NC out of Davie County, Immanuel Collins Immanuel Collins 5'2" | 120 lbs | WR Shelby | 2027 NC from Shelby and Rashawn Williams Jr (pictured above). of Seventy First. Luke Cecil Luke Cecil 6'3" | 300 lbs | OL Orange | 2025 NC from Orange was the MVP on the offensive line.
Moving on to the running backs, St. David’s Benjamin Young, Fabian Diggs from Ragsdale and Shon Pone Jr Shon Pone Jr 6'1" | 180 lbs | RB Seventy First Highschool | 2027 NC . of Seventy First were all winners.
Switching ends to the defensive side of the football, two players at defensive back, both from Clayton walked away with awards: Ta’Shaun Walker and Damarius McKoy. McKoy also won the fastest man award. Tyrek Robinson Tyrek Robinson 5'11" | 165 lbs | DB Vance County Early College | 2025 NC of Vance County was the third winner at defensive back.
On the defensive line, Scotland’s Zion Morrison Zion Morrison 6'4" | 225 lbs | DL Scotland County | 2025 NC , Jadon Best Jadon Best 6'1" | 305 lbs | DL Charles B Aycock | 2025 NC of Aycock and Bradley Chapman of South Central all won MVP. On the second level of the defense at the linebacker spot, Gabe Shirley of North Raleigh Christian, Anoop Moore of Nortide and Jackson Bordelon Jackson Bordelon 6'0" | 190 lbs | LB Fuquay-Varina Highschool | 2026 NC of Fuquay-Varnia were all winners.
