Ethan has had a strong off-season from a recruiting perspective. Offers from Gardner-Webb, Army, Marshall, Cornell, & Catawba have made Ethan a hot commodity. Ethan’s size and speed make him a complete threat on the outside that teams have to gameplan for to slow down the War Eagles offensive attack. With new head coach Brian Hinson on board, I expect Ethan to get showcased in some creative ways offensively to take advantage of his overall talents.

Driver is one of the best pure route-runners in the state. Normally, we say that about smaller guys with below average speed, but Driver is neither of those things, as he has D1 size and speed. He has the frame to add weight and if he improves his play strength a bit, I’ll be ready to put an FBS grade on him, as he’s on the cusp at the moment. If the ball is close, he’ll catch it and he’s fearless over the middle, two traits that should play well at the next level.

Ethan is a smooth route runner and a highly productive receiver for Davie County. He impressed me when I saw him in person at our Prep RedZone camp earlier this spring. Ethan displays strong hands and a willingness to make tough catches over the middle of the field for big plays consistently. Last year Ethan totaled 56 catches for 923 yards and 12 touchdowns – I think a 1000 yard season this year is definitely within reach. Ethan is long overdue for some recruiting attention in my opinion.

Driver had four games as a sophomore with over 100 receiving yards and multiple touchdowns, yet across the state know his name or are familiar with his game. Davie County has a history of putting out stat monsters who excel in college despite being under-recruited and Driver could be the next one. A superb route runner, he excels at finding space in coverage and getting open.
