With a wrestling background, his exceptional grip strength and stoutness in the run game is on his tape, displacing linemen and excelling as a run blocker. Additionally, his pass-blocking abilities were noteworthy, although he needed to refine his footwork and coordination for more efficiency against rushes. u003c/spanu003eu003cspan style=u0022font-weight: 400u0022u003eHowever, at the PSR Combine, he garnered attention as a standout camp rep. Despite playing tackle, his long-term position appears to be at guard, where he demonstrated nice movement, a quick get-off off the ball, solid leverage, good hand usage, and a strong base. u003c/spanu003eu003cspan style=u0022font-weight: 400u0022u003eThis performance is likely to elevate his stock, especially given the increasing importance of interior line play across all levels of football. With quarterbacks aging and pressure up the middle becoming more prevalent, a stout interior line is crucial. Smith's improvement in leverage, coordination, and balance indicates clear signs of progress and suggests a promising future where his first offer may be on the way. u003c/spanu003e","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6644f445a1965"} /-->

https://twitter.com/ScoutNickP/status/1790485122648547668

https://twitter.com/JahmirCamp15151/status/1789411490564284774

<!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["1263136"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"Que Matthews had strong showing at the PSR combine as an edge rusher.
