.West Linn- The Lions will have something to prove this year, after last season's 12-7 loss to CC in the state semis. They are loaded from top to bottom, with the young guys in their program also being elite and rarely ever losing. Keys to their season include the return of 6-3 220-pound RB/LB [player_tooltip player_id='312496' first='Hudson' last='Hardy'] who projects as one of Oregon's best when healthy. The play of 6-5 QB [player_tooltip player_id='406774' first='Baird' last='Gilroy'] will also be crucial, after he passed for 3000+ yards and 34 total TD's last year. He has all the weapons around him so expectations will be high.

.Central Catholic- Personally the Rams have proven me wrong multiple times in recent years, including last season. The state champs return a bunch of talent, including an impressive line led by 6-6 275 pound #1 2025 recruit [player_tooltip player_id='406759' first='Zac' last='Stascausky']. Junior RB's [player_tooltip player_id='402427' first='Tyson' last='Davis'] and [player_tooltip player_id='402415' first='Killian' last='Sombe'] could be the top #1-2 punch in the state. That said as there are huge question marks with Coach Steve Pyne moving on and 3x Mt Hood POY [player_tooltip player_id='152354' first='Cru' last='Newman'] graduating.

.Lake Oswego- Coach Coury is one of the best to ever rep the state and he will have his guys ready, especially after back-to-back losses to cross town rival Lakeridge the last two seasons. Look for Jr. RB [player_tooltip player_id='402416' first='Lamarcus' last='Bell'] to run wild and show that he is the best back in Oregon. 6-4 200-pound transfer [player_tooltip player_id='402409' first='Hudson' last='Kurland'] could take over at QB or split time with [player_tooltip player_id='285866' first='Liam' last='Davis'] who is an outstanding overall athlete and can play multiple positions. Defensively expect POY type seasons out of [player_tooltip player_id='285849' first='Oliver' last='Macy'] and 2x 1st team all TRL D lineman [player_tooltip player_id='285881' first='Lusiano' last='Lopez'].

.Lakeridge- The Pacers had a solid 8-3 season last year after a slow start. On paper the team looks super legit, but I seem to say that every year. One of Oregon's top LB's [player_tooltip player_id='766200' first='Treyson' last='Eddleman'] made the transfer and will lead maybe be the state's top linebacker group. TRL POY candidate [player_tooltip player_id='769915' first='Noah' last='Tishendorf'] will also return after an unreal sophomore season. Questions will come at QB, where [player_tooltip player_id='1091594' first='Gabriel' last='Motschenbacher'] graduates after a successful season. Look for them to lean heavy on 2026 UW RB commit [player_tooltip player_id='284119' first='Ansu' last='Sanoe'] as he will have something to prove.

.Mountainside- The Mavericks should win the Metro League. They bring back a ridiculous amount of talent, led by the likes of 2026 RB [player_tooltip player_id='1094961' first='Jordan' last='Hicks'] who went for 1,325 yards and 16 TDs last season. Fellow Junior's [player_tooltip player_id='457009' first='Sam' last='Vyhlidal'] and QB [player_tooltip player_id='1232699' first='Cade' last='Mitchell'] will rank as two of Oregon's top recruits as well. We will be talking about Mountainside for years to come as they are still young.

.Jesuit- Always the unquestioned traditional power in the Metro. They beat Mountainside 31-14 last year, but it will be much closer this season. The Crusaders graduate a ton of talent including the Conference Offensive and Defensive POY in [player_tooltip player_id='152333' first='Lonnie' last='Burt']. They also lose UW commit [player_tooltip player_id='520433' first='Elias' last='Johnson'] and 3x 1st team all-Metro ATH [player_tooltip player_id='152334' first='Jace' last='Burton']. To make up for this they will need QB [player_tooltip player_id='238435' first='Treynor' last='Cleeland'], recently offered by multiple D1's, to play out of his mind.

.Tualatin- Speaking of graduating talent, no one loses more than the T-Wolves. QB [player_tooltip player_id='285857' first='Nolan' last='Keeney'] looks to be the real deal, putting up maybe the top stat line in Oregon last season with 2,460 passing yards and 28 TDs in 7 games. That said as Tualatin loses a D1 perimeter, including #1 recruit [player_tooltip player_id='152339' first='Jayden' last='Fortier'] and Colorado St commit [player_tooltip player_id='152355' first='AJ' last='Noland']. Big shoes for anyone to fill.

.Tigard- [player_tooltip player_id='406770' first='Trevin' last='Laird'] is one of the state's fastest rising prospects with [player_tooltip player_id='1094719' first='Colt' last='Ness'] and [player_tooltip player_id='904368' first='Ivan' last='Morales'] returning to help lead what should once again be one of the better defenses in Oregon. The Tigers struggled offensively last season and will need some of their talented young guys to step up.

.West Salem- I see the Titans getting back in the mix and potentially winning the conference title. They continued to improve each week last year, with a 42-21 win over Sheldon to close out the regular season. Shawn Stanley is one of the best to ever coach in Oregon and QB [player_tooltip player_id='285871' first='Kaden' last='Martirano'] has a chance to be special. Add in Jr. WR/DB [player_tooltip player_id='769995' first='Evan' last='Wusstig'], who could be a double digit D1 offer athlete, and they should have a chance come playoff time.

.Sheldon- There have been numerous changes at Sheldon and it will be interesting to see how they respond. [player_tooltip player_id='527032' first='Mana' last='Tuioti'] will likely be one of the state's leading rushers, with [player_tooltip player_id='407439' first='Brody' last='Thomas'] and [player_tooltip player_id='408638' first='Brody' last='Borrevik'] combining with Tuioti on D to give the Irish a solid core group. Look for incoming sophomore OLB [player_tooltip player_id='791149' first='Kawai' last='Chamberlin'] to have a breakout season as well.
