The Prep Redzone High School Combine series continued this weekend in Oklahoma and high school standouts brought it on Saturday. We had some outstanding talent all across the state of Oklahoma and even some of the surrounding states. We’ll have a ton of coverage from the event dropping on Prep Redzone! In this post, we’re putting the spotlight on the linebacker position. This was a group we were excited about coming into the camp and it once again lived up to the hype. Lincoln Christian 2025 linebacker Mason Torres Mason Torres 6'1" | 200 lbs | LB Lincoln Christian | 2025 State OK was covered earlier this week in our positional MVP article.
2025 linebacker Athan Nickles Athan Nickles 6’0″ | LB Stillwater | 2025 OK is yet another Stillwater standout from Saturday’s camp. The Pioneers had quite a few of them and Nickles was one of the defensive players that we were excited to see. He was very productive last season and was one of Stillwater’s leading tacklers. We expect him to have similar production this fall and become one of 6A-2’s top linebackers. During the camp, he performed very well from start to finish. In one on one competition, Nickles showed a really good ability to stay with his opponent and make the play on the ball at the right time. He’s just one part of a very talented and physical Stillwater defense returning.
Booker T Washington 2026 linebacker Boone Garrett-Spring Boone Garrett-Spring 5’9″ | 210 lbs | LB Booker T. Washington | 2026 OK was the first of two linebackers on this breakdown that we didn’t know much about coming into the camp. We walked away excited to see what was next for him when the pads come on during spring ball. He performed very well throughout the camp on Saturday afternoon and the thing that really stood out about him was his eagerness to compete and get as many reps as he could get. He didn’t win them all but he was always back in line waiting to jump back out there and received as much coaching as he could get. Prospects like that are always going to catch our attention during camps like on Saturday.

Empire 2026 linebacker Cutter Rochell Cutter Rochell 6’2″ | 195 lbs | LB Empire | 2026 OK was the other linebacker on this breakdown that we didn’t know much about but he caught our eye at several points during the camp. First off, Rochell is long and he used that length to his advantage during the competition portion of camp. We got to watch multiple reps for the running backs and linebackers and it felt like every time Rochell stepped out there on the field, he was making a play on the ball. Each time we watched him take a rep, he impressed us and this small town product is going to be a name to watch moving forward. There’s a lot to like in his game and as he continues to improve, his stock will go up.
Highlights
Our final linebacker on this breakdown is Clinton 2025 standout Zaedon Collins Zaedon Collins 5’10” | ATH Clinton | 2025 OK and we were fired up to see him in person. We’ve watched film of Collins over the last few years and it was clear that he is a terrific athlete. Whether it was at running back or linebacker, Collins has the ability to jump off the screen. Watching him in person on Saturday, he did a good job of improving throughout the day. He took the coaching that he was getting and put it to use during one on one competition. Collins lost a couple reps and came back with a vengeance, rattling off win after win after win. And that, plus his pure athletic ability is why he’s a 2025 prospect to watch.
