the thunder. Collins is back for his senior season and he’s a player that feels like has been a standout for Clinton for years now. Collins has been a standout on both sides of the ball, whether it’s running back on offense or linebacker on defense, Collins can wear several different hats. Earlier this year, Collins was one of the top campers at our April camp and he was working on defense as a linebacker. For us, it doesn’t matter where Collins is lined up on the field, he’s going to make something happen. And when you’re talking about the players to watch for this team, you have to start with Collins.

and we were fired up to see him in person. We’ve watched film of Collins over the last few years and it was clear that he is a terrific athlete. Whether it was at running back or linebacker, Collins has the ability to jump off the screen. Watching him in person on Saturday, he did a good job of improving throughout the day. He took the coaching that he was getting and put it to use during one on one competition. Collins lost a couple reps and came back with a vengeance, rattling off win after win after win. And that, plus his pure athletic ability is why he’s a 2025 prospect to watch.

and he’s having an outstanding junior season. He’s not alone in the Clinton backfield but he has shined in arguably their two biggest games of the season. Collins ran for well over 200 yards in a loss to 3A powerhouse Heritage Hall. He would then have another good game against Elk City in late September that would end up deciding the district championship.

As we mentioned at the beginning of this preview, Clinton routinely spreads the love among their running backs and they like to spread out the carries accordingly. One of the returning players at the position is 2025 standout

at the running back and linebacker position. Collins is not Clinton’s top returning rusher on this year’s squad but he was able to rack up over 500 yards on 51 carries on the season. We anticipate those numbers are going to go up this season. But another big reason why he’s going to be a player to watch for the Red Tornadoes this fall is what he does on defense. Like Fuller, Collins was one of the leading tacklers last season with over 71 tackles and he has the potential to be Clinton’s best two-way player.
