This past weekend the NJ/NYC PRZ Next Combine took place, and over 100 prospects in the classes of 2028-2030 took the field. It was one of the most deeply-talented middle school camps I have personally ever been to. Off the top of my head there were nearly two dozen athletes that currently project to the D1 level. Here's a look at the Offensive Linemen that stood out.

For an example, look no further than the No.7 overall pick in this year's NFL draft, JC Latham who was a man amongst boys in Wisconsin as middle schooler. I say all of that because Offensive Line MVP [player_tooltip player_id='965252' first='CJ' last='Lewis'] has the most elite eighth-grade bodies for the position, I have u003cemu003eu003cstrongu003eeveru003c/strongu003eu003c/emu003e seen. Lewis is a physical specimen at nearly 6-foot-5 and just under 275-pounds, he's high cut and has the lower legs of a basketball player. Originally signed up as a Defensive Lineman, but with the lopsided numbers, he was the first one to volunteer and go take reps as an Offensive Linemanu002du002dwhere he shined. With a kid of his stature at this age, there are some to-be expected footwork things to clean up, but that will absolutely come. Played with a mean streak throughout the camp and I only saw him lose a rep or two (against the DL co-MVPs). I can't say enough about this kid's trajectory. He's an eighth-grader I'd be extending a verbal offer to, tomorrow. He'll be at Glassboro High School.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["302362"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"I've had eyes on Pennsylvania's [player_tooltip player_id='302362' first='Andrew' last='Kern'] since he was in the fifth or sixth grade, and this past weekend at the Prep Redzone Next Middle School Combine was, hands down the most athletic he has looked during his pre-high school career. Measured in just shy of 6-foot-4 and a burger short of 210 pounds. During O-Line individual drills, his foot work and fundamentals were head and shoulders above the other Offensive Linemen. His hand and foot placement were succinct, deliberate and accurate. For being one of the taller Hog Mollys there, his knee bend was outstanding. Now, there are some obvious things he needs to improve on, too. He's growing taller significantly quickly than he is getting heavier, so continuing to try to pack on the pounds and burning the midnight oil in the weight room will continue to help. Going hand-in-hand with the weight matter, is also anchoring and shifting weight during his kick slides. Kern is constantly working to get better in the off-season and the improvements are extremely obvious. He's a bit of a project, but there's a ton of upside if/when he can put it all together. He'll be at St. Joe's Prep in Philadelphia.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["1011819"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='1011819' first='Robert' last='Rossano'] attended the PRZ Next Middle School event this past January and performed well; This past weekend at the PRZ Next Middle School Combine, the future Toms River North Mariner matched that effort with another strong showing. Up 10 pounds from the winter, Rossano measured in at a stout 5-foot-11 and 245-pounds. If it wasn't clear before, Rossano certainly confirmed that he's an interior Offensive Lineman at the combine this past weekend. He did well with the opposing bigs on the inside and was strong/physical at the point of attack. His feet got heavy at times and the more athletic rushers gave him a bit of a hard time once they started revving their engines, but if he was able to get inside hands and sit, he more than held his own.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":3,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-66426745c13e6"} /-->

[player_tooltip player_id='1150984' first='Luca' last='Dilev'] | St. Joe's Regional (Montvale) - Dilev did some nice things at the combine and held his own during a very competitive one-on-one portion of the event. He's a little heavy for his frame at this point, tipping the scales at 260 pounds. Improving his foot speed and agility should be a goal. On film, he's a good run blocker, but he didn't get to showcase much (if any) of that skill set at the unpadded combine.
