Better yet, every one of these seven teams should have reasonable expectations to win the Blue. That said, I’ll be evaluating five more athletes from the Blue that could move the needle for their respective teams.
’26 WR/DB | Evan Patterson Evan Patterson 6'2" | ATH Seaholm | 2026 MI | Seaholm | @EvanPatterson29
Last season, Evan had himself a solid JV season but generally needs to improve in all areas before he’s a good Varsity player. Most notably, Evan needs to improve on his tenacity and play speed. As a safety, Evan struggles to make tackles and break on the football. The play at 2:37 shows a great opportunity for a PBU (or INT for a super explosive safety). Evan does an ok job to crash on the football and make the tackle, but if he was just a step faster and more reactive, he easily could have prevented the completion. On several other plays, Evan plays a little soft while tackling. All of this isn’t uncommon for a sophomore defensive back, but I know that if you want to be a Varsity contributor for Seaholm, you NEED to be a physical football player. I hope that Evan is able to go through the offseason process and improve, hopefully leading to playing time on Varsity this fall.
’26 RB | Miguel Diaz Miguel Diaz 5'7" | 155 lbs | RB Troy Athens | 2026 MI | Troy Athens | (No Twitter found)
Last Fall, Miguel served as a productive role player and shows potential to be a solid Varsity contributor next season. The bulk of his film is at running back, where he showed off a few tough runs between the tackles. As a wing-T RB, Miguel does a solid job at playing within the structure of the offense. He runs through the correct holes (most of the time) and does his best to fall forward to earn a little extra yardage. I expect Miguel to continue to be a solid RB option for Athens moving forward.
’25 DT |
John Spreitzer

| Troy | @JohnSpreitzer54
5’10” 230
A Varsity starter since his Sophomore season, John is a polished interior defensive lineman who could take another big step up this coming season. His most notable strengths are his motor and physicality. Beginning with good explosiveness out of his stance, John does a great job of holding his leverage before either shedding the block or making an athletic tackle on an RB running at his hip. Just turn on the tape; John is a physical and well-put-together defensive tackle who deserves a lot of Division 3 attention based on the highlight tape.
’25 ATH | TJ Alexander TJ Alexander 5'9" | 150 lbs | ATH North Farmington | 2025 MI | North Farmington | @TJ_Alexander07
TJ is one of the better athletes in the OAA Blue. Plus, he’s one of the best returning WR/DBs in the entire league. His tape shows great versatility and athleticism. Offensively, TJ is able to consistently earn separation against lesser DBs because of his above-average speed and athleticism. A lot of the balls thrown his way didn’t have the best placement. TJ did a good job of securing tough catches where he had to make a late adjustment. He also did his best to earn yards after catch. Though, he oftentimes tried to dance a bit too much before attempting to run upfield. Defensively, TJ has several good coverage plays. Even against solid receivers with nicely-thrown balls, TJ has the athleticism to stick on his receiver and the ball skills to consistently force PBUs. I evaluated TJ a few weeks ago at the MHSAA HAWK Showcase, and I note a lot of these same strengths. I’m very surprised that TJ hasn’t posted any offers on his Twitter, and I hope to see him get some well-deserved college attention here soon.
’26 LB | Carter Kulinski Carter Kulinski 6'1" | 200 lbs | LB Farmington | 2026 MI | Farmington | @CarterKulinski
6’1″ 200
Although his tape is quite short, Carter showcases several very promising plays on his 2023 highlight tape. Generally, his tape shows great physicality and good play speed. As an off-ball linebacker, Carter is able to scrape, work through blocks, and blitz his way to tackles. I’ll also note that he looks well-built and he has good size for an off-ball linebacker at 6’1″ 200. I’m fully expecting a breakout 2024 season for Carter Kulinski Carter Kulinski 6'1" | 200 lbs | LB Farmington | 2026 MI .
