[player_tooltip player_id='283876' first='Lasiah' last='Jackson'] - Lee County

A fast-rising defensive back from Lee County, Jackson is a playmaking defender who can cover down the field while attacking the ball-carrier in the run game. He brings an excellent 6-foot-3 175-pound frame for his age and runs as well as any defensive back in his class in the area. He's a hard-working prospect who is only getting better, and the offers are already coming in. This defensive back on the rise earned a new offer recently from the Kentucky Wildcats with more likely to come his way soon. He can run sideline to sideline and gives maximum effort every time he hits the field. He's coming off a strong sophomore season in 2023 where he made 41 tackles and six pass deflections. With his frame, athleticism, instincts and toughness, Jackson is bound for a massive junior season in 2024 for a Lee County program with sky-high expectations.

[player_tooltip player_id='908936' first='Jamar' last='Owens'] - Jonesboro

An outstanding defensive back from the Atlanta area, Owens was a tackling machine no matter where he was lined up last fall, making 86 tackles on the season. He brings a long, promising frame at 6-foot-1 175-pounds and knows how to cover bigger, longer receivers down the field. He's also a sure tackler who brought the ball-carrier to the ground seven times in nine games last fall. A true defender on the rise, Owens now holds an offer from the Wisconsin Badgers. He shows a nose for the football and always finds his way to the ball. The D1 talent is easy to see, and he has a chance to be one of the best across Georgia in the 2026 class. Owens plays alongside several talented defenders, and he showed last year as a sophomore that he's one of the best on the roster. He's a ball-hawk in coverage who can play big plays in coverage while consistently helping in the run game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1201822' first='Jordan' last='Smith'] - Houston County

A physically impressive Middle Georgia safety at 6-foot-2 185-pounds, Smith continues to see big offers come his way after a strong sophomore season and a promising spring. The Houston County defender already holds a major offer list, and this week he added another from the Kentucky Wildcats. Ranked by Prep Redzone as the No. 26 overall prospect in Georgia for his class, this versatile defender shows good instincts in coverage with the ability to play close to the line of scrimmage to help stop the run. He's big enough to play some linebacker, but his best football will come as a tough, run stuffing safety who can also cover ground deep down the field against the pass. He also holds offers from USC, Georgia Southern, Georgia Tech, South Florida, among many others. His recruitment is still taking off, and more offers rarely like heading his way.
