He's also a sure tackler who brought the ball-carrier to the ground seven times in nine games last fall. A true defender on the rise, Owens now holds an offer from the Wisconsin Badgers. He shows a nose for the football and always finds his way to the ball. The D1 talent is easy to see, and he has a chance to be one of the best across Georgia in the 2026 class. Owens plays alongside several talented defenders, and he showed last year as a sophomore that he's one of the best on the roster. He's big enough to play some linebacker, but his best football will come as a tough, run stuffing safety who can also cover ground deep down the field against the pass. He also holds offers from USC, Georgia Southern, Georgia Tech, South Florida, among many others.
