2025 Never Before Covered: May Edition

During each month, I go through and introduce us to some new prospects to watch out for this upcoming season. In this article, we are going to highlight some of the new prospects that we have discovered over the past few weeks.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1227683' first='Rhett' last='Tidwell']-Linebacker-Fayetteville-5'11” 220-Pounds</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Fayetteville linebacker does an impressive job of reading the play and putting himself in a position to make the play. [player_tooltip player_id='1227683' first='Rhett' last='Tidwell'] has the speed to get from sideline to sideline in pursuit of the ball carrier. He uses his quickness well to separate from opposing blockers. Tidwell has a high motor and does not give up on a play. He is a player I expect to have a big season in 2024. Last season, he earned all-state honors, and he has the potential for an even more impressive season this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1227658' first='Caden' last='Webb']-Linebacker-Van Buren-5'10” 170-Pounds</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1227658' first='Caden' last='Webb'] is another linebacker that had an impressive 2023 football season. He gets off of blocks quickly and gets into the offensive backfield. Webb has the speed needed to drop back into pass coverage. He pursues the ball carrier well and does a nice job of making the tackle. Webb is the type of linebacker that can pressure the quarterback or clog up the rushing lane. He will not quit on the play and gives maximum effort on each play. Webb is a prospect to watch out for this upcoming season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1228120' first='Jamarian' last='Vaughn']-Offensive Line-Arkadelphia-6'2” 220-Pounds</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I like the versatility that Vaughn brings to Arkadelphia. He can play all along the offensive front for the Badgers. Vaughn is quick out of the stance and uses his hands well. He does an excellent job of getting out front on screens and draws. Vaughn is an intriguing prospect on both sides of the ball. Vaughn is a prospect that you can watch out for on both sides of the ball, and he has the potential to have a big season for the Badgers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1267914' first='Joshun' last='Cranford']-Defensive Back-Little Rock Hall-5'10” 181-Pounds</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Over the past few years, [player_tooltip player_id='1267914' first='Joshun' last='Cranford'] has played all over the field for Little Rock Hall. Cranford is a ballhawk that lurks in the secondary. He is a player that knows what to do with the football when he picks it off. Cranford plays the ball well in the air. He has the speed needed to cause plenty of opposing wide receivers' problems. Cranford has the potential to have a strong season in 2024. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1235732' first='Caleb' last='Perdue']-Offensive Line-Mountain Home-6'4” 265-Pounds</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I like offensive line prospects that can work all along the offensive line. [player_tooltip player_id='1235732' first='Caleb' last='Perdue'] fits that description perfectly. Perdue has a good mix of power and speed. He uses his hands well and is able to keep opposing defensive linemen at bay. Meanwhile, he has no problem opening up the rushing lanes for the Bombers. The work that Perdue in the weight room has been impressive and I look forward to seeing what kind of season Perdue puts together this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
