Below are a few guys whose time has caught my eye Early this Spring and a review of their football film.
Maurice “Lae” Gleaton
’25 WR Langston Hughes
Gleaton has put up the fastest time in the State so far in the 100m, running a 10.24. He ran a season low of 10.14 in 2023 and as the temps heat up we wouldn’t be surprised to see him hit that mark again this year. The 5’10 165 WR plays for a great program in Langston Hughes. Great vertical receiver that gets behind the defenders in a hurry and has the hands to catch the ball. Best suited for using his speed on the go routes but has the physicality to catch the ball in the middle of the field on the short routes. UGA, known for their love for the speedsters, offered last year and Gleaton recently picked up an offer from App State. Big Senior season on tap.
’26 Central Lions
The rising Junior All State RB ran a 10.99 at Starrs Mill on 3/29. A little off his season high of 10.85. The 5’10 205 4-Star RB has been on everyone’s radar even before he entered high school two years ago. Great build with a strong base that has outstanding vision at the line of scrimmage. Makes smooth cuts, especially for a guy that comes in at over 200 pounds. Has break away speed and is physical enough to run North South between the tackles. Has offers from just about every school in FBS and is a future star in the making.
Dallas Dickerson
’26 WR/CB Morgan County
Dickerson is an intriguing prospect at 6’1 175. Ran a seasons best 10.76 back on March 13 and followed that up with an 11.02 this past week at Greene County. Long armed receiver that knows how to use his speed to get open. Physical and uses his length advantage to go up over smaller DBs. Good football IQ on the defensive side of the ball that gets himself into position break up passes with that long reach. One to keep an eye on going forward. Has the natural speed and length and has he develops as a football player should be a sought after player at the next level over the next 2 years.
