One of the deepest position groups from our #TN2025 class, the defensive line has some hidden gems laying under the radar that we feel are in-line for breakout senior seasons!

(DT) [player_tooltip player_id='390644' first='Archie' last='Roseman'] - Blackman

- A wide bodied mauler in the middle, Roseman is one of the top hidden gems this cycle from our in-state defensive line class but I think word is starting to get out. Austin Peay recently got on board with an offer and several other schools are sneaking around and showing interest, so expect to hear more about this Murfreesboro area big man in the coming weeks. What I like about this Mid-Tennessee talent is of course his size but it's his athleticism and mobility along with that size that's impressive. Roseman moves well for 6'4 325 lbs, showing the ability to not only stuff the run but also provide a pass rush up the middle. He has more work to do with his development but the raw tools are there. I can easily see D1, possibly Power Four programs get involved before Roseman shuts down his recruitment.

https://twitter.com/BigArchie99/status/1715744614982832277

- - - - -

(DL) [player_tooltip player_id='341252' first='Brycen' last='Boone'] - Memp. Central

- As we head into the summer camp months, Boone sits here as one of the more underrated talents we have from the #TN2025 class. This Memphis area D-lineman is an active ball player with a nice combination of power and speed along with the versatility to work the edge or slide inside. Boone is a nimble guy with an agile lower base but if he wasn't 6'2, most people would have already known about him. His game is legit and I think he will only get better as he adds more weight and continues to mature with himself and his field work. It will be interesting to see how his recruitment goes over the coming months, especially after his work this summer in camps and as a team defensive leader for the Tigers this Fall.

- - - - -

(DT) [player_tooltip player_id='1189145' first='Jamir' last='Turner'] - Alcoa

- Turner is one guy on this list that provides upside on either side of the ball as a potential college offensive or defensive lineman. Scouting his junior film, Turner has an edge with me at defensive tackle due to his size (6'4 285), athleticism and strength. The Tornadoes junior big man is well put together physically along with natural power, so it's tough to move him off his spot. Turner can move the line of scrimmage and that trait alone translates well to either side of the football, which to me makes this East Tennessee product a valuable recruit. Samford has already gotten on board with an offer but I think Turner will breakthrough even further this Fall as one of the better D-line prospects out of his East TN region.

https://twitter.com/jamirtu62986866/status/1774943172302405698

- - - - -

(DL) [player_tooltip player_id='467234' first='Skylan' last='Staten'] - Lausanne

- If this West Tennessee talent was 6 '4, you would be hearing more about Staten but his 6' 1 265 size shouldn't phase anybody as this dude can play as he brings one of the best motors from the D-line in this year's class. The Lynx senior big man can play several roles across the defensive front due to his athleticism, motor and mature game play. Staten is a well versed young man that knows how to use his hands to shed blocks while sporting the pursuit and speed to chase down the quarterback. His game fits best inside at tackle but within a 3-4 defense, Staten has the bend and get-off to work the edge as well. Keep an ear out for this guy in the Fall as I wouldn't be surprised to see Staten become the best D-lineman within the Memphis area by season's end.

- - - - -

(DE) [player_tooltip player_id='1230138' first='Ashton' last='Hearn'] - Christian Brothers

- Standing 6 '5 225 pounds with a great frame for added weight, Hearn immediately looks the part of a college guy when he steps onto the field but he is still far from a finished product with upside for more growth. This Purple Wave senior defensive end brings the size, length and overall physical traits to cause havoc off the edge and do so in a variety of ways. Hearn is a good athlete that can play standing up or do his work with his hand in the dirt. He shows a solid get-off on film as well as the handwork and arm length to squeeze through blockers then burst towards the ball. He is still a tad lite in the britches and will need to pack on more weight but the raw tools are there to develop into a nice pass rusher on the next level.

- - - - -

(DT) [player_tooltip player_id='820608' first='Kaiaulu' last='Micatrotto'] - Brentwood

- Word is starting to get out about this Williamson County defensive lineman, who has one of the best motors in the state along with some outstanding handwork and technique sound game play. Micatrotto has some of the best film from the D-line that I have watched this off-season and if he was bigger than 6 '1 265 pounds, bigger programs would be all over him. The Bruins senior big man is naturally strong and can move people with ease but he is also quite agile as well, bringing a pass rush from the interior that is tough to deal with. Micatrotto uses his hands well to shed blocks then shows a nice burst into the backfield. Presbyterian jumped on board with an offer recently but I expect many others to follow over the next few months as Micatrotto is a top candidate for a major breakthrough Fall senior season.

https://twitter.com/KaiMicatrotto/status/1773787729710530644

- - - - -

(DT) [player_tooltip player_id='800785' first='Boston' last='Yeager'] - Bearden

- Sporting great size along with explosive traits, Yeager is an active, hard nosed playing interior defensive lineman that sits under the radar at the moment but has the chops to rise up and become a much wanted guy down the recruiting stretch. Standing 6'4 280 lbs plus, Yeager brings the physical traits to the field needed but he also moves very well, showing explosive movements on film along with violent hands. The Bulldogs senior D-lineman does a good job of getting off the snap quick and getting into his opponents chest then driving him back or using his active hands to shed blocks. Yeager could grow and play the nose but his best work could be done as a 3-technique where he can rush up field and after the quarterback. His game will need continued work but I like what I see out of this East TN talent and what he could become on the collegiate gridiron.

- - - - -

(DE) [player_tooltip player_id='1248115' first='Isaiah' last='Mullins'] - Davidson Academy

- Last season as a junior was a breakout campaign for Mullins but as we head into the summer camp months, this Nashville area defensive end has yet to break through on the recruiting scene. I think that can change over the next few months as Mullins is a pass rusher that has a nose for the backfield and he is just now scratching the surface of his potential. The Bears senior pass rusher shows excellent get-off and handwork on film along with developing strength that will only grow as he matures. Mullins is a tad undersized but he makes up for it with an active motor and a unique feel for finding the quarterback. His camp work this summer and performance throughout the coming football season will be critical towards earning a shot at competing on the college level and I believe he can do it.

- - - - -

(DL) [player_tooltip player_id='1130991' first='Jonathan' last='Waller'] - Stewarts Creek

- A true hidden gem with D-line versatility, Waller is one of the more intriguing talents up front from the Mid-Tennessee area that could play his way into an FCS level scholarship. The Red Hawks senior big man missed a good chunk of junior season but put enough snaps on film to show upside for the next level, especially on the edge where his work fits best in college. Waller is a strong dude at 6'1 230 pounds who also moves well laterally that can shed blocks well then use his motor to chase down the ball. He works well against the run as he does a good job of stacking blocks or stringing out the play and forcing the running back where he wants him to go. He is a bit undersized but Waller competes very hard while sporting nice football abilities and traits that can be utilized well within a college system.

https://twitter.com/Jwallerr50/status/1780267661584212027

- - - - -

(DT) [player_tooltip player_id='1213391' first='Todd' last='Hammond'] - Brentwood Academy

- If you're looking for an undersized but active and fierce D-line competitor, Hammond could be your guy! Standing 6 '2 265 pounds with room for more growth, Hammond is an active ball player that competes very hard while providing good athleticism and strength to the defensive front. The Eagles senior D-Tackle shows on the film good handwork and the ability to shed blocks while also having enough juice and pursuit to chase down the ball. Hammond sports a solid get-off, showing nice pass rushing upside with the potential to improve with stopping the run as well with added strength and weight. His summer camp work and senior season will go a long way towards landing a spot in the college game and he could be a steal with continued development through these off-season months.

- - - - -

#TN2025 Defensive Line Database

Four Others to Watch: [player_tooltip player_id='1102507' first='KD' last='Cunningham'] - McKenzie, [player_tooltip player_id='1142885' first='Isaiah' last='Lackey - Sheffield, [player_tooltip player_id='501903' first='Aiden' last='Elmore'] - Franklin, [player_tooltip player_id='491440' first='Mekhi' last='Bell'] - Summit

One of the deepest position groups from our #TN2025 class, the defensive line has some hidden gems laying under the radar that we feel are in-line for breakout senior seasons!
