Micatrotto was a big reason why the Red Hawks couldn’t gain much traction in the run game as his play on the interior was tough to deal with for the Stewarts Creek offensive line. The future Western Ky Hilltopper used his power, smarts and speed to get off blocks and stuff the Red Hawks rushing attack for most of the night. Eventually over time, Stewarts Creek made it a point to run to the outside and stay away from Micatrotto. It’s unfortunate that his season is over because Micatrotto is a fun player to watch.

Micatrotto may be committed to Western Ky at the moment but he is definitely on Power Four offer watch, especially with how he’s playing early on this 2024 season. The Bruins senior D-lineman has been an absolute force and his current senior film shows it! You have to look past his 6’1 245 pound size as Micatrotto plays much bigger along with a fearless, physical attitude. He provides a good burst off the snap then shows a nice power to speed combination that plays up well on the next level. Gaining more weight will be needed to sustain in college but Micatrotto has the body for it and shows the work ethic to continue packing on the pounds. 

What I’m liking most about this Mid-TN prospect is his versatility across the defensive front and his motor to rush the backfield. Micatrotto is a 3-tech defensive tackle but because of his athleticism and nimble lower base, you can play him standing up on the edge or place him in whatever gap you want to expose. His aggressive, fierce nature along with his physical traits makes Micatrotto an intriguing talent for the Power Four stage that early on could be a rotational D-lineman that can be used on 3rd downs. Adding the weight will increase his role over time. I like this prospect and how he goes about his business. He’s a fun player to watch and someone that could sneak onto the Power Four level with continued strong play.
