Establishing himself at the helm of the offense was Gavin Strang Gavin Strang 6'5" | 205 lbs | QB Brentwood | 2028 State TN , a quarterback at Brentwood High School. Strang had a huge game, proving himself as a dangerous signal caller. In addition to excellent size and passing ability, Strang caught my attention with his ability to find wide open receivers down the stretch and make the clutch touchdown pass in crucial moments.

The Offensive MVP of the 8^th grade Tennessee Future Stars team in a losing effort, Strang shouldered the load at the Quarterback position for the Volunteer State. What didn’t surprise me was his height, as he is every bit of the 6-foot-4 height he’s listed at. What did surprise me was just how athletic of a kid he is. Based off seeing him live in previous years and somewhat limited film, I had questions about his mobility because of his giraffe-like build, but I quickly found out how well he could move around. Whether he was under pressure from Kentucky or rolling out on designed plays, he was impressive.

When looking for stability and leadership in terms of having been on big stages before, Gavin Strang Gavin Strang 6'5" | 205 lbs | QB Brentwood | 2028 State TN is a blessing to have behind center. This will be Strang’s third go around with the Tennessee Future Stars, as the west Tennessee native has been selected all three years of his middle school career. In addition to his annual summer run with the White and Tennessee Orange, he was also on the varsity roster (as an eighth-grader) this past fall season at Lausanne Collegiate High School. Speaking of the fall, Strang has somehow grown even taller and put on a solid 15-pounds, now up to 6-foot-4 and 170-pounds. The multi-sport athlete (basketball) has been busy this off-season, training religiously and playing 7v7 for Cheetah University. This could be a coming out party for the huge righty.

Speaking of the Tennessee Future Stars team, Gavin Strang Gavin Strang 6'5" | 205 lbs | QB Brentwood | 2028 State TN is another prospect who has dawned the White and Tennessee Orange for multiple years. Strang, like Simpson, was also selected to the team as a sixth and seventh-grader, and he could make it a perfect three-for-three this summer. While the Future Stars is a familiar team for him, Strang transferred from Briarcrest Christian to Lausanne Collegiate ahead of his eighth-grade season. Now up to 6-foot-3 and 155-pounds, he’s got the height and frame to become something special–but he’s gotta pack on good weight. Between Strang and fellow eighth-grade quarterback/athlete Thomas Heffner Thomas Heffner 6'1" | 200 lbs | QB Lausanne Collegiate | 2028 State TN , the Lynx already have a pair of studs in the 2028 class.
