Jontavious Wyman – DB – Jonesboro
A dynamic two-way athlete who can make game-changing plays no matter where he’s lined up, this Jonesboro standout is long, athletic, and has some of the best ball skills of any pass-catcher or defensive back in the area. The lengthy 6-foot-1 175-pounder already has a giant offer list, but this week he added another impressive offer from Penn State. A natural defender with strong instincts who knows how to tackle, Wyman plays the ball like a receiver and was able to haul in five INTs on defense. He also added 37 tackles and 12 more pass-breakups. He’s a ball magnet in coverage who covers a lot of ground when the ball is in the air. On offense, while playing both quarterback and running back, Wyman caught 37 passes at wide receiver for 602 yards and seven touchdowns. He’s currently ranked by Prep Redzone as the No. 21 overall prospect in the state for the 2026 class. Look for Wyman to have a massive junior season for Jonesboro this fall.
Brodie McWhorter Brodie McWhorter 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Cass | 2026 State GA – Cass
The offers continue to roll in for one of the top 2026 QBs not only in Georgia, but across the South. A multi-year starter for an up and coming Cass program, McWhorter brings a strong arm, poise, and strong leadership to the table. He has an impressive offer list for someone his age, and he added a new major offer this week from Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks. The North Georgia standout throws a soft, catchable ball down the field. He also shows quick, balanced footwork in the pocket and the ability to escape defenders and make plays with his feet. He can throw accurately on the run and loves to test defenses vertically down the field. He’s a leader, understands his job, and is currently ranked by Prep Redzone as the No. 40 overall prospect in the state. He’s a natural and still has his best football years ahead of him. He shows promising arm talent and could see more offers come his way down the road. Look for McWhorter to be one of the state’s leading passers among juniors in the fall.
Xavier Griffin Xavier Griffin 6'4" | 225 lbs | DL Gainesville | 2026 State GA – EDGE – Gainesville
One of the very best EDGE defenders in Georgia regardless of class, Griffin is a pass-rushing machine out of Gainesville who is coming off a terrific sophomore season for the Red Elephants last year. Ranked by Prep Redzone as the No. 9 overall prospect in Georgia for the 2026 class, Griffin is a terror off the edge who made 52 tackles, 20 TFLs and nine sacks last year. He bring a long, 6-foot-4 215-pound frame and saw his recruitment take off this winter. Now, he’s added another offer from the Missouri Tigers. As a prospect, Griffin is explosive off the snap and does a great job of locating the ball-carrier and attacking. He also shows a good motor and plays hard until the whistle is blown. He brings an impressive combination of speed and power, and his potential is easy to see. Look for him to have a dominant junior season for a Red Elephant team with state title aspirations.
