Todd Robinson – Valdosta
A dynamic playmaker with the ball at 6-foot-0 190-pounds, Robinson was a productive quarterback for the Valdosta Wildcats last year, but his natural athleticism and ability fly past defenders is why he’s seeing his recruitment take off. After making big plays with both his arms and legs last year, throwing for over 1,000 yards and rushing for over 1,000 yards, Robinson was able to find the end-zone 14 times in 2023. Now, this South Georgia athlete has earned recent offers from LSU, USC, Tennessee, Florida State, among others. Due to his burst, speed, and ability to score on any particular play, Robinson will likely play some running back or wide receiver at the next level. He’s a weapon who can really run, and has a natural way of eluding defenders down the field. Look for him to get a giant boost in the next Prep Redzone rankings update.
Herbert “Third” Scroggins III – LB – Benedictine
A long, athletic pass-rusher out of Savannah with the potential to turn into an every-down linebacker, Scroggins can attack the quarterback and filled up the stat sheet defensively last fall, helping lead the Cadets to another state championship this past season. At 6-foot-3 220-pounds, Scroggins is coming off a giant junior season where he made 84 tackles, 10 TFLs, and a team-leading 12 sacks. His length and explosiveness off the snap allowed him to create havoc in the backfield on a weekly basis, and it’s led to a new offer from the Missouri Tigers. His motor and pursuit of the ball-carrier stood out in a big way, and it helped him become one of the top linebackers in the area. He bends well off the edge and can shed blocks consistently when running down the ball-carrier. He also holds offers from Auburn, North Carolina, Texas A&M, Southern Cal, among others.
Anthony Kruah – Marietta
An active, disruptive middle linebacker who can chase down the running back and go get the quarterback, Kruah is an up-and-coming linebacker who plays with the Marietta Blue Devils. Kruah has easy power five size at 6-2 215-pounds and brings plenty of burst and the ability to deliver a sound, physical hit on the ball-carrier. He brings a lengthy frame that will help him in coverage more and more down the road. He’s already a dependable run defender, but he has the potential to be a reliable pass-rusher as well. After a strong junior season where he made 70 tackles, 10.5 TFLs, five sacks, one INT, two forced fumbles, one defensive touchdown, and two blocked kicks. He makes a big impact in multiple ways and now his recruitment is picking up, adding new offers recently from East Carolina, Duke, Boston College, among others. He’s one of the fastest-rising defenders in the state and more offers could come his way very soon.
