Prep Redzone has the details…
Nigel Pittman Nigel Pittman GA – Thomasville
A productive, consistent sophomore wideout from South Georgia, Pittman may not be the strongest, biggest, or fastest receiver around, but he has enough of each to possibly see some D1 offers come his way. He’s a strong route-runner for his age who can create separation and make a play on the football down the field. Whether he was testing defensive backs down the field or making an impact in the screen and short passing game, Pittman was a weapon throughout the season for the Thomasville passing attack. In fact, he’s one of the top 3A receivers not only in South Georgia, but across the state. As a sophomore last season, Pittman only caught 21 passes, but he took them for 506 yards and four touchdowns, averaging an impressive 24 yards per reception. He’s a big-play pass-catcher who is only scratching the surface of his potential. If he continues to work hard and improve this spring and summer, Pittman could be on his way to a true breakout junior season later this year.
Hayden Jones Hayden Jones 6'1" | 175 lbs | WR Pickens County | 2026 State GA – Pickens
A tough, physical wideout in North Georgia who had a quiet, but productive 2023 season last year, this playmaking receiver was one of the best across the 3A class with the potential of having a massive junior season next fall. At 6-foot-1 175-pounds, Jones brings decent size and was an easy, reliable target in the Dragon’s passing attack last year. He’s a willing blocker in the run game on the perimeter, but his strong, dependable hands is what could lead to some possible D1 offers down the road. A weapon in jump-ball situations, Jones does a great job of catching the ball over defenders at the highest point. A strong route-runner for his age, Jones can attack defenses vertically and can find holes in zone coverage. Jones hauled in 53 passes for 762 yards and four touchdowns. He’s reached the 100-yard mark five times last fall and could be one of the best receivers across all of North Georgia next year as a junior.
Deshunn Fedd – Crisp County
An underrated South Georgia receiver coming off a big sophomore season, Fedd is a promising pass-catcher with a knack for finding his way behind the defense. He brings an explosiveness that was tough for defensive backs to stop last fall. The Cordele native caught 42 passes for 790 yards and seven touchdowns last fall, making him one of the top returning receivers across the 3A classification. He shows the ability to make a tough catch in traffic and is dangerous when allowed to get creative in the open field. He’s a receiver who deserves more attention as he flashed D1 potential on a consistent basis. He’s a strong route-runner already, but if he continues to improve and adds some muscle on him frame heading into the 2024 season, Fedd has a chance to see his recruitment pick up at some point down the line.
