One of the top athletes in the 2026 class, Faust is an equally talented defensive back, wide receiver and kick returner. At the combine he worked at defensive back and showed his impressive coverage skills. He can run with anyone, has good hips and change of direction ability, and very good hands and ball skills and timing to make the pick or bat the ball away. He’s been playing lacrosse this spring and has dropped weight, but he has the frame to carry 200 pounds or more and keep his speed, power and explosiveness. Look for him to play at the 190 range as a junior. At safety he had 46 tackles and an interception as a sophomore. Look for a big junior season coming up.

Another skilled defensive back who put up good testing numbers and also showed his talent battling receivers in one on one action was the athletic and versatile Noel, who has good size to go along with his impressive speed, power and quickness. He is also a tough defender in game action against the the run and plays physical. As a sophomore he recorded 3 picks and showed he is not a player to be tested with his pass coverage skills.

One of a couple surprises at DB at the combine in the ’26 class was the very athletic Williams, who had a nice showing during the testing portion of the combine with his quickness and change of direction, along with his explosiveness and solid speed. I hadn’t been that familiar with him before outside of seeing him in a camp last summer, but he showed his ability, and it wasn’t surprising to see how he had 4 interceptions and 33 tackles during his sophomore season. He’s a player to pay attention to this coming season and the following one with his continued development both physically and as a player.

The other big surprise was Watts, who hit some impressive numbers during testing, especially in the broad and vertical jumps, which suggest he is faster than his forty he put up that was solid, but shows he can run an even better forty if he focuses on his technique. He has good power and quickness, ran well with receivers and had a very good overall combine. As sophomore he recorded 24 tackles and showed he is a player to watch for going forward.
