But we’d be naive to think we’ve evaluated everyone or didn’t miss a few along the way.
PRZ South Carolina is constantly looking at as many of the 10,000-plus prep football players in the SCHSL and SCISA ranks as possible.
Now, the Community Film Room is back.
In each edition, we’ll break down five unranked players from across the state to let you see what we’re seeing. The series will lead right into the the start of the spring rankings cycle, the ever-growing importance of the summer schedule and then the 2024 season.
In Episode 56, we’ve parked ourselves at the doorstep of some small schools, where we’re starting to see more and more talent rise to the top.
When Ian Grissom Ian Grissom 6’1″ | 160 lbs | QB Rock Hill | 2025 State SC took over the QB1 job at Lewisville, the one-time quarterback Rogers found a new home in the defensive backfield. Let’s just say the move has taken the 6-foot, 185-pound rising senior to a place where he absolutely isn’t staring at his last year of organized football.
Rogers is a big-hitting safety, yes. He’s also pretty good in coverage. It all stems from what is a clairvoyance of opposing offenses and what they’re trying to do while he’s getting from point A to Point B.
Just for giggles, Rogers also logged another 29 yards and a score in occasional wildcat sets during a couple games and even chipped in on some returns. The variety to his game has us wondering where he’ll end up playing on Saturdays. Because it will be somewhere.
The Florence SCISA ranks have been no stranger to long linebackers over the past few years, and we can add Schwab to that list. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound outside linebacker made an early impression last fall during his freshman season when he put up 55 tackles, three tackles for loss, four sacks and an interception.
And while it wasn’t kept on Florence Christian’s stat pack, we can see on film there were a few quarterback hurries along the way, too.
Schwab appears to a true edge in training who with another inch or two and a little more burst off the snap could develop into a nice recruit in a couple years. After all, he’s got three years of high school ball left and we’re excited to see where his path leads.

When Antwain Jones Antwain Jones 6’2″ | 225 lbs | LB Lake City | 2025 State SC was ruled out for the 2023 season following last summer’s well-documented bus accident, Wilson was moved to the middle of the defense and thrived in the position. He was an active ball hawking linebacker with zero strength concerns who was consistently making stops while occasionally making huge plays.
He wasn’t expected to be the guy – Andre McFadden-Pressley Andre McFadden-Pressley 6’0″ | 305 lbs | DL Lake City | 2024 State SC held down that distinction from his spot on the line – but the exposure and experience Wilson picked up was invaluable.
With Jones expected to make his return this fall, Lake City will have a thunder and lightning defensive duo both parked at linebacker. After seeing them lined up together, then we’ll decide which is which.
Khasean Saldano
Khasean Saldano
Branchville’s biggest two-way player showed up to the Carolinas Coaches Combine at Woodland and proceeded to leave everyone a little more intrigued thanks to his 28 reps on the bench and an 80-inch wing span.
So we went to the film and found plenty of supporting evidence for all that power.
As a defensive lineman, Saldano is a run stopper with the ability to get into the backfield. As an offensive guard, he’s a ferocious blocker who can pull across the center and catch unsuspecting defenders looking like they have no momentum
Kolten Kellerman Kolten Kellerman 6'0" | 175 lbs | DB Philip Simmons | 2025 State SC

Kellerman’s first year on varsity (2022) was about getting him some snaps without expectations. Year 2 was about seeing how much he could contribute on a team full of seniors on the defensive side of the ball.
With those seven top seniors graduating, don’t say we didn’t warn you about what Year 3 might look like for Kellerman. The 6-foot, 175-pound safety had 48 tackles last year while doing everything from playing center field to jumping up to the line pre-snap.
He’s got speed and jumping power to far exceed the norm and he’ll be counted on to increase his production while simultaneously becoming an on-field leader. If that’s not enough, he might also be the Iron Horses’ top receiver next season, too.
