With no coincidence, most of these prospects hail from the Western Provinces of Canada but it goes to show how truly diverse these rankings are in including players from every province, making them the deepest list of available rankings of Canadian football prospects. With the class of 25′ and 26′ prospects coming up next it is still important to highlight some of the top 2024 prospects. Especially those who made a strong impression in their senior season tape and jumped up rankings like these prospects below.
The criteria was simple here and check out below prospect who jumped 15 or more spots in our updated rankings.
Sjoberg, a dynamic WR prospect who has elite size for the next level made some quality improvements in his play that showed in his senior tape. Sjoberg has incredible ball skills, his ability to consistently highpoint the football with great timing in addition to his sideline awareness are skills he displays on a higher level than many of his peers in Canada. Sjoberg shows the be a dominant downfield threat while also showing plenty of physicality as a blocker and after the catch on tape. One area Sjoberg showed his dominance was his ability to line up in the slot or on the outside and impact the game in the short, intermediate, and deep areas from multiple alignments.
Livadiotakis-Fraser out of St. Matthew was not only one of the most productive WR/SB in the country but was dominant as a return man showcasing on tape how dangerous he is with the ball in his hands. Livadiotakis-Fraser is high-level ball skills and although he is not the biggest WR prospect his ability to separate with his route running and track the ball way down the field are some of his best skills. His route running is some of the best I have seen in Canada where his quick twitch movements and burst out of cuts make him hard for cornerbacks to stay close within man coverage. Livadiotakis-Fraser also has a really good feel for the WR position where his instincts help him find open space against zone coverage and exploit open space in the deep third of the field.
Canavan, a massive OL prospect out of Medicine Hat in Alberta is not only one of Alberta’s top linemen but jumps up our rankings showcasing why he was one of the best offensive line prospects in all of Canada this season. Canavan played mostly RT and while his size and strength are consistently overwhelming defender. His movement skills and athleticism are what gives him so much potential at the next level. Canavan has solid bend and has good quickness and explosiveness in his first step. He has a very strong lower half and defenders struggle to even hold their ground against Canavan. As Canavan grows as a player and a prospect unlocking stronger more violent hands will make him a much more developed and complete offensive lineman.
Dawson Hendriks Dawson Hendriks 6’3″ | 240 lbs | DL Bateman | 2024 State CAD continues the theme of prospects who rose up the rankings from the western provinces of Canada. Hendriks a defensive end prospect showed in his Senior season tape that he was one of the top playmakers at the position this season. Hendriks has high-level closing speed and his ability to use a speed rush to get around the outside of offensive tackles and offensive guards when he lines up inside showcases why he is one of the most dangerous pass rushers in the country. Hendriks finishes plays with violence and physicality often impacting the quarterback’s ability to throw the ball even if he does not finish with a sack. Hendriks has good burst off the LOS and showcases the ability to use quick and violent hands to get off blocks. Hendriks violent finishing and high-motor play helped him jump up our rankings.
Ekhator a prospect who played a lot of QB in high school is listed as an Athlete because of his ability to play multiple positions and the fact that he likely will play a skill position at the next level. Ekhator rises up the rankings because, in his senior film, he showcased the ability to do it all. As a quarterback, his poise and ability to be a dual-threat weapon at the position combined with his ball skills will translate to offensive and defensive skill positions at the next level. Ekhator is a special athlete who was the usual case of lets play our best player at quarterback at the High School level and will be able to unlock another level to his game as he plays for Alberta University.
Highlights
Seb Lee Seb Lee 6’6″ | 270 lbs | OL Foothills | 2024 State CAD , out of Foothills High School in Alberta is a big offensive tackle prospect whose Senior tape was a big step forward in his play. Lee has elite length and does a good job of using his length and range to keep defenders away. He has a strong upper body and can consistently knock defensive linemen back with his initial punch. While Lee is a two-way player his home is on offense where his size is just so overwhelming for defensive linemen to go through or get around. In pass pro, Lee showed solid feet on tape and the ability to use his upper body to control the initial contact with defenders. Lee had a really solid season refining his game and doing a better job of using his size to win reps and in turn jumps up our rankings.
