Quinton Jones, Wide Receiver Class of 2028, Recruit Ready (Canada)

Jones was a weapon around the end zone. Good size and can get up to high point and attack the ball. First was notable when scoring off a fade in the end zone. But wasn't limited to being only used as a lob to the back pylon specialist. When going over the middle of the field, he can also rise up to pull down contested catches in traffic.

Showed a bit of clutch ability in Recruit Ready's second game on Saturday when he scored a late game winning touchdown. It was a common theme for Cockriell on the day, as he often found paydirt. Got low for one very nice sliding catch in the back of the endzone as well. Recruit Ready was impressive as a whole on Saturday with tons of playmakers and Cockriell's ability to make a variety of catches stood out among that talented group.

Ryker Sollars, Wide Receiver Class of 2030, Strongside KC

Another example of a young wide receiver who knows to play big and make himself a strong target for his QB. Can line up outside and win deep, where his body control and coordination allows him to haul in outside throws. Or run in the middle and make himself available in openings as a reliable target for his QB. Good savviness and feel for an eight grader.

Mendoza is on the smaller side but showed a bit of electricity to start Saturday. He got his offense going with quick catches and the ability to wiggle his way up the field. Was also able to use his speed to be a downfield threat with some intermediate catches. Liked how his team even used him to run routes out of the backfield, giving more room for him to use his agility and speed to juke out defenders. Good versatility of usage for the young weapon.

Curtis Douglass, Wide Receiver, Class of 2030, Thunderbird Elite (NE)

Quick playmaker who shined in the title game. Making big catch after big catch to go toe to toe with a good team in a shootout style contest. Scored the opening and closing touchdown in that game. Douglas often won outside by winning on out routes and making catches on the boundary. His ability to change directions should serve him well going forward.

Brown was a bright spot for the Wolves on Saturday. He's a big body wideout, who looks like he would do well with pads on. But don't judge a book by its cover. He caught a pass over the middle and first showed nimble feet to find a gap in the crowd of the defenders. Then hit the jets and out raced the defense for a long touchdown.
