One of the most consistent WRs there this weekend was Harvey. Harvey is a guy I know and have covered, but it’s the first time I got to see him work in person. He’s incredibly athletic and has a good feel for the football field and how to create space. He’s not afraid of contact when going up for a ball and will fight tooth and nail each rep. He was great downfield and his ability to go up and bring down the ball when in tight spots didn’t go unnoticed. When his team needed a conversion they looked for Harvey and he came through.

Nolan Teising

Making an impact early on Day 1 and never looking back was the Senior WR from Zionsville. Teising has a good build, good length, and is a very sound athlete. He’s quick off the line and then has the frame to be an issue downfield, which is what he was all weekend. He gave his QB a big target, never turned the wrong way, and was always working back towards the ball to try finding a way to get open. My opinion of Teising after the weekend is that he’s a very underrated player who could easily sneak his way into a program, and later onto the field.

There are very few people on this planet who can create the match-up issue that Xavier creates the minute he steps onto the field. All weekend he was easily the most dominant player in the Red Zone. I referred to him as “The Tree” and later found out that was his nickname. He was unstoppable. 6’5″ and 220lbs and moves as well as he does is incredible. He was used as a TE and had no issue going up and over the top for TDs. He was making it look easy and could snag the ball with 1 hand. 1 TD he went up, snagged the ball, and looked down at the DB to make sure he wasn’t going to land ontop of him on the way down. I had no idea watching he was a 4-star recruit, but when I got home and started to dig it all made sense. Newsom is an unreal athlete and I’m stoked to see what he does in the future.

Zechariah Wallace
Zechariah Wallace
Wallace is a very raw but very talented athlete who is going to burst onto the scene sooner than later for Hamilton Southeastern. The raw athletic ability, length, and ballskills he has are too good to keep him off the field. He’s twitchy for a guy his size as well. He gets in and out of breaks easily and then has no issue tracking a ball over his shoulder. He just seems comfortable and like he belongs on a football field. He had a TD grab over the middle where he had 2 defenders pulling down his arms as he went up in the air. He pulled through, still got the elevation, and came down with the grab. He was big the Flite Boyz downfield and never let them down. Wallace is young but as athletic as he is, this is only the very beginning.

I don’t care that this was only 7 on 7s, this young man just put on a show. Not only did he come out and dominate at higher age group, it was the way he looked doing it. He’s a well built, thick, and crazy athletic player who is just scratching the surface of what he is going to be. He was bigger, stronger, and faster than just about everyone out there. When he told me he was 14 playing against 15+ I didn’t believe him at first. I thought for sure he was their age or older, but he’s younger. He’s just crazy athletic and knows how to use his frame. Remember the name Jamil Parker.
