A freshman starting QB is impressive, and he didn't disappoint. He led all freshmen in passing yards and touchdowns. Throughout the season he threw for 2207 yards, 22 TD, 7 INT, and 57.3% completion rate. While on the ground he ran 45 times for 226 yards and 2 touchdowns. Dietrich has a quick snappy release in combination with a very strong arm making him a formidable opponent. He has good accuracy at all three levels; however, his deep ball stands out to me the most. He can fit the ball in tight pockets. Good ball placement skills. He will throw on the money, above, below or in stride with his wide receiver. Dietrich is very accurate while throwing on the run. When he rolls out left, he stays accurate on the run as well. Dietrich showed good mental processing by going through his reads and choosing the open man. Good pocket presence. He achieves this by being shifty and utilizing good footwork. He keeps his shoulders parallel with his feet to achieve a quick throwing motion. He will also step up in the pocket, while keeping his eyes downfield under pressure. Dietrich has very good athletic ability as well. He uses his very good speed and acceleration to roll out of the pocket and thrash the defense on the ground. Koa is an exciting prospect who will continue developing his skills into a top QB in Colorado's future.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["652497"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Another impactful freshman is [player_tooltip player_id='652497' first='Alijah' last='Landrum-Hamilton']. Landrum-Hamilton was a good contributor for Denver South, accounting for 60 receptions for 804 yards and 7 touchdowns. ALH led all freshmen receivers in receiving yards, touchdowns, and receptions. He's got decent size at 5'7 150 pounds with room to grow as he's still young. Landrum-Hamilton has very good athletic ability due to very good speed, acceleration, and change of direction. He's able to pivot on a dime and looks like he's gliding on the field. Landrum-Hamilton showcases good mental processing by identifying zone voids and sitting in them patiently waiting for his QB. He has good separation quickness by use of his athletic ability. He out runs defenders at the top of the route. He's got lengthy arms, and uses them to pluck the ball out of the air. Good ball tracking skills too. Landrum-Hamilton has good body control, and will adjust either above, below, or behind to make the catch. He has YAC skills as well. He uses his homerun speed to out run everyone and get into the endzone. Landrum-Hamilton will continue to grow, and I can see him going over the 1000 yard marker in his sophomore season.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":["not_in_db"],"_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_player_details_selected_featured_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_selected_featured_image":"field_62cca28ffa4e7","player_evaluations_2_player_details_player_name":"[player_tooltip player_id='1330920' first='Torhyn' last='Scott']","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_player_name":"field_62aba4c9ecf2f","player_evaluations_2_player_details_graduating_class":"2027","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_graduating_class":"field_62aba4ddecf30","player_evaluations_2_player_details_height":"5'11u0022","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_height":"field_62aba4e8ecf31","player_evaluations_2_player_details_weight":"180","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_weight":"field_65b288425ecf6","player_evaluations_2_player_details_position":"2408","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_position":"field_62aba4f0ecf32","player_evaluations_2_player_details_school":"Grand Junction Central ","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_school":"field_62aba4fdecf33","player_evaluations_2_player_details_club_team":"","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_club_team":"field_62d20e723441a","player_evaluations_2_player_details":"","_player_evaluations_2_player_details":"field_62aba4afecf2e","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"Scott was the 2u003csupu003endu003c/supu003e leading rusher for the class of 2027. The 5'11 180-pound running back carried the ball 108 times for 589 yards and 3 touchdowns. He had 3 100 + yard rushing games. Scott demonstrates a lot of qualities that a solid running back has. Torhyn has good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, speed, and good change of direction. Also demonstrated good mental processing and ball carrier vision by identifying the correct hole and running through it. Scott hits the hole with ferocity and intensity. He consistently reaches the 2u003csupu003endu003c/supu003e level of the defense, and thrashes them for big gains. Scott has very smooth cuts, and a nice juke move too. He isn't afraid of contact. He will put his shoulder down and truck over defenders. Scott was consistently shedding tackles with ease, running through defenses. He has a good stiff arm too. Torhyn has good catching skills out of the backfield as well. He will use his good ball tracking skills to pluck the ball out of the air for the checkdown. Scott is only a freshman, but I'm excited to see how he continues to develop over the course of his high school career.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":["not_in_db"],"_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_player_details_selected_featured_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_selected_featured_image":"field_62cca28ffa4e7","player_evaluations_3_player_details_player_name":"[player_tooltip player_id='1330933' first='Casen' last='Pridemore']","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_player_name":"field_62aba4c9ecf2f","player_evaluations_3_player_details_graduating_class":"2027","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_graduating_class":"field_62aba4ddecf30","player_evaluations_3_player_details_height":"6'0u0022","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_height":"field_62aba4e8ecf31","player_evaluations_3_player_details_weight":"195","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_weight":"field_65b288425ecf6","player_evaluations_3_player_details_position":"2496","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_position":"field_62aba4f0ecf32","player_evaluations_3_player_details_school":"Salida","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_school":"field_62aba4fdecf33","player_evaluations_3_player_details_club_team":"","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_club_team":"field_62d20e723441a","player_evaluations_3_player_details":"","_player_evaluations_3_player_details":"field_62aba4afecf2e","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"Pridemore rounds off this list as a defensive stud playing middle linebacker. The 6'0 195-pound freshmen had an impressive first year. Throughout the season, he accounted for 124 tackles (81 solo, 43 assisted), 7.0 TFL, and 1 sack. Pridemore has good athletic ability due to good speed, acceleration, and change of direction. He was consistently all over the field disrupting plays. High motor and plays with a tenacity to him. He was consistently playing after the whistle. Good mental processing by identifying which gaps to rush and create a TFL. Pridemore is also a patient tackler, not getting overzealous and getting burned. Good effective tackler as well. He tackles towards the center of gravity bringing the ball carrier with ease. Pridemore is strong, and stops defenders right in their tracks. Good in zone coverage, he will follow the QB's eyes leading him to a tackle. However, he excels against the run. An excellent run stopper who eats up blocks. Pridemore is an exciting prospect that I'm excited to see develop over the next couple of seasons.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":4,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-662955bfef3b4"} /-->

It's never too early to get a look at the 2027 class. The 2027 class has a lot of promise, and I wanted to look at the freshmen who made an impact on their team in their first season. Without further ado, let's dive into the analysis.
