Trey Berry is a super talented running back out of Sidney Lanier that made a big impact out of the backfield for their offense last season. Berry offers a ton to their run game with how well he performs when the ball is in his hands. He is able to make huge plays on the ground due to how great he is at shedding tackles and making defenders miss, and has the speed and acceleration to separate himself from anyone on the field athletically. In addition to his speed and finesse, Berry also has the ability to play through contact and sustain big hits- he’s a tough to back to gameplan against with how dynamic he is. Berry put all of these skills and more on full display last fall- he ended up carrying the ball 134 times for 1252 yards and 7 touchdowns on the ground with an additional 8 receptions for 112 yards in the air as well. In the last year, Berry has seen his recruiting stock go up-he recently picked up offers from Minnesota, ULM, UAB and more. Keep an eye on him this upcoming season, he’s sure to be one of the top backs in the state!
Bryson Kimbrough is a really talented quarterback prospect out of Hillcrest that has a lot of abilities as a dual threat playmaker. Kimbrough has a really talented arm that’s capable of both airing it out downfield and fitting passes into really tight, contested windows. It doesn’t matter what level of the field his targets are at, Kimbrough uses his arm to stretch the field and make big time passes. He has a ton of accuracy he uses to lead his receivers really well and rarely throws the ball into harms way. Outside of his passing abilities though, Kimbrough also has some really solid athleticism that allows him to move around the pocket really well as well as make plays on the run. Kimbrough recently picked up an offer from Coahoma Community College, with the kind of talent he has he will definitely be seeing some more head his way over the next year! Keep an eye on him and Hillcrest going forward, they have a lot of talent on this roster this season!
Christopher Warren Christopher Warren 6’3″ | 220 lbs | TE Hoover | 2025 State AL is a really talented tight end prospect out of Hoover that has emerged as one of the top tight ends in the whole state. Warren is a super reliable target in Hoover’s passing attack. He’s really athletic at his size and is able to consistently physically outmatch opposing defensive backs for the ball- in the redzone, Warren is a terrific option for their offense to scheme something up for, he can haul in all types of tough to catch passes and is able to make a lot of plays. In addition to his work in the pass game, Warren is a really effective blocker up front. He uses his athleticism to move from level to level, making key blocks for the ball carrier all game long. Warren has impressed a bunch of schools at the next level- he currently lists offers from North Alabama, Southern Miss, and more! Keep an eye on him this next year- he’s set to do a bunch of big things in Hoover’s offense!
Louis Snell is a dominant offensive guard for Dothan that has helped open up their offense a lot with how well he blocks and provides protection. Snell is an animal in the run game. He has a great burst off the line of scrimmage, generates a lot of power to drive back defensive linemen, and has the agility to continue opening things up for the ball carrier downfield in the second level. In pass protection, Snell can slow down opposing defensive tackles/ends really well. He uses his size and quick hands to his advantage and rarely ever loses matchups in the trenches. In general, Snell is a guy that really helps your offenses overall success- he can equally impact the run and pass in a lot of great ways, it’s very impressive to watch. Snell hasn’t gone unnoticed, he’s picked up offers from Tulane, Colorado State, and plenty of others. Be sure to watch what he is able to do this next season, he’s set for a big year in Dothan’s offense!
Highlights
Lance Johnson is a seriously talented offensive lineman out of Ramsay that has a rare combination of of size, strength, and agility at his position. It doesn’t matter what is asked of him, Johnson can provide it as he is a very versatile offensive tackle in the rushing and passing attack. Johnson can easily move defenders off the line of scrimmage and create lanes for his running backs- he frequently uses his strength and power to pave the way on some massive runs downfield, it’s impressive to watch. When protecting the quarterback Johnson has excellent hands and footwork- he sets himself up really well against a variety of pass rush moves and rarely allows any pressure on the quarterback. I think what impressed me most while watching Johnson play was his physicality and motor- he does the dirty work in his offense and does it with a brand of physicality each and every snap, consistently allowing his offense to capitalize and make big plays. Keep an eye on him going forward, he’s set to do some big things for Ramsay this upcoming season!
