I missed being able to post about the entire fall season on PrepRedzone while I was at Syracuse, so I decided to do some backtracking here in good fun. All these guys were no strangers to filling up the stat sheet, but these individual game performances stand out as some of the best individual games of the season.

QB [player_tooltip player_id='528262' first='Kyle' last='Meier'] vs. Rome Free Academy

Meier put on a show against Rome Free Academy, rushing for 399 yards and 5 touchdowns on 27 carries, averaging 14.7 yards per rush. This was an elite performance, not even considering the 80 yards passing and 2 passing touchdowns he added. Meier eclipsed the 2,000-yard rushing mark for the second time in two seasons for Whitesboro, which made it all the way to the State Championship.

RB [player_tooltip player_id='1204400' first='Tyler' last='Vanderpool'] vs. Our Lady of Lourdes

Vanderpool had six separate outings this season with over 200 yards, so there is plenty to choose from. His top performance came against Our Lady of Lourdes, where his efficiency was insane. 18 carries for 321 yards and 4 TDs, which is a whopping 17.8 yards per carry. Vanderpool is the record holder for touchdowns at Cornwell Central, which is no surprise considering he was second in the state this season.

RB [player_tooltip player_id='1204398' first='Anthony' last='Lofaro'] vs. Mt. Vernon

Lofaro was a workhorse all season long for Ossining, with 280 carries in 8 games. Lofaro had his best showing against Mt. Vernon, with 36 carries for 366 yards and 5 touchdowns in a 37-16 win. Lofaro had 88% of his team's yards and had one of the best single-game performances this season.

RB [player_tooltip player_id='450492' first='Lorenzo' last='Robinson'] vs. Holy Trinity

Robinson entered this season in a backfield that split carried between him and other backs. When injuries started popping up, Robinson took over the backfield and had a huge Senior Season. His best game of the season was somewhat of a breakout game against Holy Trinity, where on the ground, he had 19 carries, 206 yards, and 4 rushing touchdowns while adding 2 receptions for 63 yards and a receiving touchdown as well.

RB [player_tooltip player_id='818626' first='Presley' last='Kafeero'] vs. O'Neill

Kafeero eclipsed the 1,000 yard mark for the second straight season and performed best against O'Neill with 33 carries, 336 yards, and 2 touchdowns. This performance kickstarted what would be a five-game run of 100+ yard games for Kafeero.

WR [player_tooltip player_id='604523' first='Marek' last='Arbogast'] vs. Liberty

Arbogast led the entire state in receiving yards, so several games stand out during one of the best WR seasons of all time in New York. Against Liberty, Arbogast had 8 receptions, 254 yards, and 3 touchdowns. That contributed to Arbogast's 1,535 receiving yards this season, which is good for second all-time* in NYSPHSAA behind Bruce Williams.

*According to nysphsaa records site which has not been updated in at least 2-3 seasons.

WR [player_tooltip player_id='434416' first='Cleveland' last='Charlton'] vs. Christ the King

Charlton was probably one of the most dangerous deep threats in the entire state this season, the best showing of his 1,000 yard season was against Christ the King where he scored 3 touchdowns on only 4 receptions with an impressive 210 yards. Going for 200+ only touching the ball 4 times does not happen often, it was one of the standout games of Charlton's impressive senior year.

QB [player_tooltip player_id='521428' first='Joey' last='Tomasso'] vs. Fonda-Fultonville

There was not much left for [player_tooltip player_id='521428' first='Joey' last='Tomasso'] to prove in his HS career that featured over 9,000 passing yards, 2,000 rushing yards, and 147 touchdowns but his performance against Fonda-Fultonville in the Class C State Championship just capped off an impressive career for Tomasso. Through the air, Tomasso eclipsed the 300 mark for the 5th time that season and went 18/26 with 333 passing yards, 4 passing touchdowns, and another 2 rushing touchdowns to make it 6 total in the most important game of the year.
