The tight end position in the class of 2025 is loaded with versatile playmakers, who can not only make crucial blocks but they are top receiving threats who can get to the end zone for six or make a heap top grab in traffic look easy. Here are several top flight tight ends in the Class of 2025 that are heading into their senior seasons as top targets in the state of Texas.
Armstrong is a big body target who has the speed to run by defenders and the strength to brush off his opponents in tight coverage. He is quick in space, he runs precise routes and when he makes a grab in traffic he can change gears in an instant. Kiotti has strong sure hands with a large catch radius, he attacks the ball with controlled aggression and he has the ability to win on the 50/50 jump ball. Armstrong is a national recruit who has the attention schools from Power 4 conferences across the country. Texas and Texas A&M, as well as LSU have hosted the top flight tight end on campus. He will be a player who can come in early to any college program and compete for playing time early.

Rupe is a big target who runs the route tree with precision, he has clean footwork and he has excellent short area quickness that enables him to get open often. He has a long, lean frame with a large catch radius that enables him to extend in close coverage and make contested grabs. Rupe works the middle of the field like a veteran and he understands how find the soft spots in the defense and exploit them. Although his junior season was cut short, Rupe flashed the skill set to be a dominant force offensively. Memphis and UCF added to the double digit list of schools on his offer sheet in the month of March. Look for Rupe to have a big senior season and see his targets increase this fall.

Andrus has a stout build with long arms and he is a sure handed receiving target that can run past defenders for six. He is a versatile target who can line up in line or split out wide and be a matchup nightmare for defenses. Andrus has an explosive first step at the snap, he uses his frame well in close coverage to wall of defenders and he has the speed to separate at the second level from defenders. Andrus is a playmaker defensively, where he lines up as an edge rusher and causes havoc for opposing offenses. His speed and explosion off the ball make him a difficult matchup for blockers. Jordan was selected 1st Team All-District on both sides of the ball and All State Honorable Mention in 2023. His profile on the recruiting trail this offseason is trending upward, with Rice, Washington State, Memphis, McNeese State and UTEP all coming to the table with offers.

Jack has a powerful build with an extended reach, he has large, strong hands that attack the football and he has a large catch radius that he uses well to extend and pull in catches away from his body routinely. He lines up inline and in the H-Back position in the Southlake offense, he is a ferocious blocker with superb technique that plays with great leverage, he is strong at the point of attack and he finishes blocks with violent intentions. Jack runs clean routes with superb footwork and he has great short area quickness that enables him to get free and beat defenders in the open field. He has the speed to separate at the second level and this makes him a reliable target that can turn a short gain into six points. He committed to Tennessee early this offseason and he is one of the top returning tight end prospects in the class of 2025.
