Following my breakdown of some talented 2026 prospects, here’s my list of some of the top 2027 quarterbacks in Kentucky to keep an eye on this upcoming fall.
In the first place spot on my list is Emmett Queen Emmett Queen 6’1″ | 170 lbs | QB Covington Catholic | 2027 State KY , a quarterback at Covington Catholic High School. What impresses me about Queen is his arm strength and ability to hit his receivers in stride anywhere on the field. I also like Queen’s ability to quickly scan the backfield for open receivers. Another facet of Queen that stands out is his ability to maneuver the pocket and stay composed under pressure.
Highlights
I am additionally impressed with Kade Goodin Kade Goodin 6’2″ | 170 lbs | QB Collins | 2027 State KY , a quarterback at Collins High School. Goodin makes a considerable difference with his ground game, proving he can blast past the defense in the pocket and create excellent seperation in the backfield. I also like Goodin’s ability to be deceptive, proving he can juke out the defense with his footwork and utilize his arm strength to launch the deep pass. I also like Johnson’s ability to quickly execute the short pass, proving his pin-point accurate passing and ability to consistently overwhelm the defense in the air.
Claiming the number three spot on my list is Zane Johnson Zane Johnson 6’0″ | 205 lbs | QB Trinity | 2027 State KY , a quarterback at Trinity High School. Johnson makes a huge difference under center due to his composure in the pocket and excellent deep passing, proving he can calculate his throws under pressure and get the ball out of his hands in crucial moments. On top of great decision-making, I like Johnson’s durability and electric speed on the ground.

Also worth mentioning is Deakon Partin Deakon Partin 6’3″ | 215 lbs | QB Pineville | 2027 State KY , a quarterback at Pineville High School. Partin stands out with his strong passing, showcasing his ability to toss completions from along the edge. I also like Partin due to his ability to put the offense on the scoreboard by completing the short pass from just a few yards out. Partin’s ability to connect with his receivers deep in the backfield also stands out.

Coming in at number five on my list is Kaden Mack Kaden Mack QB DuPont Manual | 2027 State KY , a quarterback at DuPont Manual High School. Mack’s ability to remain composed makes a considerable difference, proving he can connect with his receivers before the defense makes contact. I also like Mack’s arm strength and ability to find open receivers for the deep pass. Mack also showed off his solid footwork and durability in the pocket.

Another skilled prospect to watch for is Korbyn Edwards Korbyn Edwards 5’11” | 165 lbs | QB Wayne County | 2027 State KY , a quarterback at Wayne County High School. In addition to great execution off the snap, what impresses me about Edwards is his arm strength and quick release, proving he can connect with open receivers in the backfield. I also like Edwards due to his shiftiness and ability to maneuver the pocket, showing off his ability to break tackles and get the ball out.

Also impressing me is Max Johnson Max Johnson 6’3″ | 185 lbs | QB Apollo | 2027 State KY , a quarterback at Apollo High School. What makes Johnson so impressive under center is his ability to adapt to pressure, utilize his electric speed on the ground to break tackles and his ability to launch bullets into the backfield. I also like how Johnson can juke out the defense on the ground with his deceptive footwork, proving he can march into enemy territory from along the edge.
