Mack Curtis
Mack Curtis
They call him Seatbelt! This All State corner is smooth on his feet with great hip movement, Mack blankets receivers, making him a defensive menace in his class. QBs are going to lose sleep at the thought of throwing anything short or intermediate his way. His superior speed keeps him glued to his coverage, suffocating under routes. Taking him deep? A pipe dream. Curtis is a pick-pocket artist, stealing passes or shoving receivers off their routes with ease. With this raw talent and relentless work ethic, Mack is a ticking time bomb ready to explode on the field and become an unstoppable force. The Bay City Bandit picked off numerous passes and I know the same will show when those Friday Night Lights are shining!

Jaylin Morrow
Jaylin Morrow
Jaylin is a good sized and well-disciplined athlete who has the ability to cause chaos in the passing game. His footwork and hip movement allow him to stay glued to receivers in coverage, shutting down passing lanes. He anticipates throws and reacts quickly, making interceptions a regular occurrence. If the ball is in his catch radius you better hope that your receiver can turn into a DB real quick. When the game’s on the line, Jordan shines brightest. He delivered crucial plays that swung the momentum, showcasing his clutch performance time and again. Morrow remains a constant threat on the field. Having him on your team is a game-changer. The All-District DB’s coverage skills and ability to rise to pressure make him a valuable asset for a Davenport team that went deep into the playoffs last season. The future is bright!

Hayden Jackson
Hayden Jackson
Hayden Jackson isn’t your average defensive back. Years of studying the game have made him a DOG. He reads the receivers well by focusing on their hip movement, not needing to peek into the backfield. This allows him to react quickly and decisively, shutting down plays before they develop. Jackson’s intelligence translates into immediate action, often resulting in pass breakups or interceptions. He excels at working with his teammates, forming a strong defensive unit. This Hays Hawk is the epitome of a “Ball Hawk”! Hayden can compete with the best receivers in the state. His impressive skillset makes him a rising star on the defensive side of the field.

Nehemiah Booker
Nehemiah Booker
Booker played very well in the games that I got to watch. He’s a safety that plays with purpose. Nehemiah is always looking to cut of passing lanes on intermediate routes and it’s served him well. This young man had several picks in this tournament. From what I noted, he puts himself in good position to make plays. It’s almost as though he baits the QB into thinking that he has a window and as soon as the ball is thrown, Booker breaks on it. The ability to keep his feet under him and his body square sets him apart. This Buffalo should see some solid minutes in the upcoming season.
