Alamo Heights is getting a good one! Freshman, Easton Stone Easton Stone 5’10” | 175 lbs | QB Alamo Heights | 2027 State TX , can flat out play. I saw this young man in a couple of games this weekend, including a shootout in the 15u championship. Stone and his squad marched down field to tie the game up on their second series. This included multiple route combinations, the final being a dime to the slot on a wheel route. Stone then saw his team down by 6 and threw a rail shot to his receiver for a TD to tie the game again and finished the series with a conversion on a drag. The touch that Stone has at his age is a great asset. He has the arm strength to go with it. The transfer from Steele high school is going to have a big impact in the 09 for years to come.

DJ Green
DJ Green
I’ve seen DJ throw the ball on film a few times, but watching him in person helped me see what type of player this young man really is. Green has a solid build and is light on his feet. In the games that I saw, he had a commanding field presence, and throw by throw walked his team to a score. He’s not a big talker, you don’t hear him chirping to the other team, but he does let his arm talent do all the talking. Dj showed a quick release and kept his feet moving while in the pocket. The Johnson freshman has one of the best QB’s in the country to learn from while at school and he’ll have a litany of weapons at his disposal when his time comes to take over at QB for the Jaguars in the coming years.

Jayden Garcia
Jayden Garcia
Coach Stade and Taft have a good one on their hands. Jayden made it look easy out there this past weekend. There wasn’t a throw that he couldn’t make. What stood out to me was his ability to look off defenders to create windows for his receivers. He reads the field well and delivers a catchable ball. I never saw Jayden get rattled as he navigated his way to another 7v7 championship this season. His eyes and feet are active and he has no problem going to his check downs, its this type of play that will help Jayden grow into a solid varsity QB in the next couple of years.

Drayden Espinoza
Drayden Espinoza
Don’t let the measurements fool you, Drayden is that dude! I witnessed the future PSJA North Raider dissect defenses as he lead his squad to a 15u Championship. Poised is the best word that I can use to describe Espinoza. As I said in Easton Stone Easton Stone 5’10” | 175 lbs | QB Alamo Heights | 2027 State TX ‘s write-up, this 15u championship game was a shootout. Drayden seemed to have unlimited fire power and came out on top in the end. I never once saw him get too high or too low. He just continued to plug away and make the right throws. He is another one that is mentally ahead of the game at his age. If a window wasn’t there he made one with look-offs or only putting the ball where his receiver had a chance. Keep an eye on him. You can’t measure his heart!

Isaac Mendoza
Isaac Mendoza
What truly sets Mendoza apart is his ability to find the open man. He doesn’t force throws or chase big plays. Instead, he orchestrates the offense with a calm efficiency, carving coverages and delivering the ball exactly where it needs to be. This calculated approach limits turnovers and keeps the Warriors moving, grinding down opponents and putting points on the board. With Isaac at the controls, the squad is a well-oiled machine, built to compete. The back of his jersey read: SNIPER, and he is earning that nickname. He’ll be headed to Harlan next year and he’ll only get better under that coaching staff.
