Following my breakdown of some talented 2026 prospects, here’s my list of some stockrising 2027s in Kentucky to keep an eye on this upcoming fall.
In the first place spot on my list is Zane Johnson Zane Johnson 6’0″ | 205 lbs | QB Trinity | 2027 State KY , a quarterback at Trinity High School. What impresses me about Johnson is his ability to stay composed in the pocket, break tackles and quickly connect with his receivers in the backfield. In addition to his quick release, Johnson stands out with his ability to scan the field for open passing targets as well as utilize his pin-point accurate passing ability.

I am additionally impressed with Jaquise Smith Jaquise Smith 6’3″ | 305 lbs | DL South Warren | 2027 State KY , a defensive lineman at South Warren High School. Smith makes a huge difference with his size and physical edge at the line of scrimmage, utilizing his wing span and core strength to stun the offensive line and cause disorganization in the pocket. I also like Smith’s ability to juke out and slip past defenders with his electric speed and deceptive footwork.
Highlights
Claiming the number three spot on my list is Jeremiah Anderson Jeremiah Anderson 5’10” | 205 lbs | LB Pikeville | 2027 State KY , a linebacker at Pikeville High School. Anderson stands out with his explosiveness, proving he can lock in defensively and wear down the offense with his relentless aggression and physicality in the pocket. I also like how Anderson can use his arms to stun the offense, shut down the rush and sack the quarterback.

Another skilled prospect to watch for is Kade Goodin Kade Goodin 6’2″ | 170 lbs | QB Collins | 2027 State KY , a quarterback at Collins High School. Goodin impresses me with his multi-faceted playstyle under center, proving his breakaway speed and his strong deep passing ability. I also like Goodin’s ability to stay on his feet under pressure as he can maneuver the pocket and get the ball out of his hands before the defense makes contact.
Coming in at number five on my list is Eastin Ervin Eastin Ervin 5’9″ | 280 lbs | OL South Warren | 2027 KY , an offensive lineman at South Warren High School. Ervin makes a difference with his impressive size and quick execution at the line of scrimmage. I also like Ervin’s ability to adapt to the defensive line’s strength and produce solid pushback. Ervin’s ability to absorb pressure and contain the blitz is another facet of his playstyle that stands out.

Also worth mentioning is Jordan Haskins Jordan Haskins 5’11” | 170 lbs | DB Bryan Station | 2027 State KY , a defensive back at Bryan Station High School. On top of great defensive awareness, what impresses about Haskins is his ability to read the offense like a book, get in front of the pass and elevate off the ground to haul in the interception. I also like how Haskins can quickly adapt, pick up speed on the run and quickly shut down the rush from along the edge.
