New Mexico Highlands hosted numerous 2024 and 2025 prospects on its Las Vegas campus on Friday. About a half dozen of those players are known to have departed with offers. In addition, one prospects announced his commitment to the Cowboys earlier in the week. Here's our list:

COMMITMENT:

[player_tooltip player_id='275436' first='Josiah' last='Mitchell'], Eldorado: Mitchell was one of the most dynamic wide receivers in the Albuquerque Metro Region in 2022-23, catching 120 passes for nearly 1,700 yards and 20 touchdowns in his final two seasons with the Eagles. He was also an excellent kick returner and finished his prep career with over 2,200 all-purpose yards. However, Mitchell flew under the radar because Eldorado did not qualify for the playoffs either season. He'll add another level of dynamic athleticism to the NMHU offense. He reunites with former Eldorado teammate Jessie Wells, who committed to NMHU in February.

OFFERS/VISITS:

[player_tooltip player_id='274791' first='Trel' last='Griego'], Farmington: Griego is a powerful 6-foot-4, 225-pound quarterback with a bazooka throwing arm. As a senior, he threw for 3,591 yards and 39 TD and led the Scorpions to a first-round upset of Volcano Vista in the Class 6A playoffs.

[player_tooltip player_id='613058' first='Valente' last='Herrera'], Lovington: The 6-foot-4, 290-pound Herrera is one of the top 2025 offensive line prospects in the state. He was credited with 42 pancake blocks in 2023. He'll be a major part of what should be a stout Lovington O-Line in 2024 as the Wildcats make the jump to Class 5A.

[player_tooltip player_id='839823' first='Cheeto' last='Lumbrera III'], La Cueva: We listed Lumbrera on Friday as one of our Breakout candidates for 2024. Lumbrera took over as La Cueva's No. 1 RB in the second half of last season and took off, rushing for 100+ yards with 10 TD in four of his last five games. With La Cueva returning four of five OL starters, Lumbrera should have a monster senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1259013' first='Aidan' last='Rutley'], Roswell: Rutley is an imposing 6-foot-5, 230-pound defensive linemen for the Coyotes. As a junior, he had 30 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and 10 QB hurries. He'll be part of a superb Roswell defensive line in 2024. He was offered by NMHU in late February and visited campus on Friday. Eastern New Mexico invited him to its March 29 Junior Day. Penn and Wesleyan University have invited Rutley to camp.

[player_tooltip player_id='1230366' first='Noah' last='Moffett'], Farmington: Moffett is a 6-0, 245-pound OL/DL that just completed his prep career at Farmington. He impressed at a recent camp in Phoenix. Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO and Knox College in Illinois have offered.

[player_tooltip player_id='1237979' first='Daniel' last='Quinones'], Eldorado (WR): Quinones was a key contributor to Eldorado's offense last season with 21 receptions for 263 yards and 6 TD, 3rd most on the team. Eldorado's top three WRs are graduating, so Quinones is on the pole in the race to become the Eagles' No. 1 WR in 2024. Princeton has invited him to camp. Eastern New Mexico, West Texas A&M, UC Davis and University of Jamestown (SD) have invited him to their Junior Days.
