(TE) T.J. Briggs Jr. T.J. Briggs Jr. 6'6" | 230 lbs | TE Lipscomb Academy | 2025 State TN – Lipscomb Academy
– Tall and long with a great body to take on more weight, Briggs, Jr is one of the more talented tight end prospects we have from our #TN2025 class but he has yet to breakthrough into that top tier status. I feel like he will in time as more coaches look over his film as well as get a glance at this 6’6 pass catcher in person. Briggs, Jr moves well for his size, providing a big target that works good down the middle of the field or within intermediate routes. He also has the size and wide radius to become an excellent target in the red zone as well. All the traits are there for this Mustangs big man to be pursued by high level college coaches in time and develop himself into one of the better tight end prospects in this state.

(TE) Ben Darnell Ben Darnell 6'4" | 240 lbs | TE Baylor | 2025 TN – Baylor
– Having to play a secondary role last year as a junior, Darnell is now the guy at tight end for the Red Raiders and is expected to step up his game big time, where he could develop himself into a P4 prospect. Darnell is a big boy that fits more of your in-line blocking tight end that works the intermediate routes well but can work down field when needed. What I like most about this Chattanooga area prospect is his physicality with his blocking and his ability to fight through contact for the ball. He doesn’t go down on first contact and will continue to push forward for those extra yards. If Darnell can increase his agility and speed, watch out for bigger schools to get involved and I think they will very soon.

(TE) Drew Ross Drew Ross 6'3" | 215 lbs | TE Knox. Halls | 2025 TN – Knox. Halls
– Ross has been on our scouting radar for multiple years now as a steady producer within the Red Devils offense but he could be on the verge of maybe his best season yet coming this Fall. A multi year starter at Knox. Halls, Ross had a solid junior year where he produced 24 rec. for 422 yards and 4 touchdowns but I think he can do more as he should be the top go-to target for the 2024 season. Ross has a good passing quarterback to get it to him in Amari Lethgo Amari Lethgo 6'1" | 185 lbs | QB Knox. Halls | 2026 TN , so I expect to see his numbers go up this year, especially with it being his last go-around. He might boost his stock prior to the Fall football year too as Ross could become a college camp standout as this guy can flex out wide and move down the field very well.

(TE/WR) Wils Jackson Wils Jackson 6'5" | 195 lbs | TE Franklin | 2025 TN – Franklin
– This guy doesn’t know how good he can be but trust me from personal knowledge, Jackson has tremendous college upside as a flex tight end that can be used on the outside. The Admirals senior pass catcher is still raw and learning the game while working on adding more weight but the ball skills and potential are there to reach the D1 level. Jackson stands 6’5 200 pounds with long arms, broad shoulders, a wide radius and the dude can run! He is a mismatch nightmare that can be used in a variety of ways on offense along with being highly coachable. Jackson has plenty of work to go but breakthrough upside is definitely there with this Williamson County product.

(TE/WR) Tamarian Tipton Tamarian Tipton 6'4" | 205 lbs | WR South Doyle | 2025 TN – South Doyle
– Tipton wasn’t mentioned in our recent “Scouting The Class” piece about our #TN2025 Tight Ends but after watching more film, he should be as he might be one of the better pass catchers at this position with continued development. Tall and long with a well built body, Tipton is a big presence on the field that shows on film the ability to work outside and fight through contact to come down with the ball. He isn’t the most explosive wideout, which is why I can see his skill set fitting better on the next level at tight end. Tipton is an athletic guy with strong hands that I can see gaining more weight and becoming a flex tight end over time. It will be interesting to see his progression over the coming months and Fall season as Tipton could be a sleeper to watch out for.

(TE) Mills Terry Mills Terry 6'4" | 205 lbs | TE USJ | 2025 TN – USJ
– Much of what was said above can be said for Terry as well. Standing 6’4 205 pounds, Terry fits the bill of a college flex tight end as he shows on the film an athletic skill set along with good ball skills that translate well to the next level. His work is mostly seen on the outside inside the Bruins offense but it also shows his potential to play out wide while in a flex opportunity, providing a mismatch problem against smaller and slower defenders. Terry is a talented ball player that I see good potential with but more time on the field learning is needed as well as more time inside the weight room. If he can pack on the needed size while enhancing his skill set, I could Terry developing into a FCS level recruit.
