Upside, posistion flexibility, new names, and a Division I target are the three categories that you will find with the North Dakota 2025s and 2026s present on our list tonight. We also learn about a 2026 quarterback at one of the state’s newest high school football programs that certainly shows an intriguing future from a city they say “Why Not?” in front of its name.
There is no question that the upside of Jaxin in the coming years is high as we saw that our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase this winter. Jaxin has extreme length to work with and his catch radius shows that and so does the first look college coaches will see on tape. At 6’5 175 pounds, Jaxin shows off good balance with his route-running with development coming further on getting more twitchy when he brakes on his route. I also see development with his upfield vision, as advancing that in the open-field will help this young man out this offseason into fall. He certainly will be one to watch at camps at North Dakota this summer to see which coaching staff falls into a big fan of his size and upside. Twitter
Highlights
Brayden Blikre
Brayden Blikre
A new addition to my radar at Prep Redzone Dakotas is Minot North 2026 quarterback Brayden Blikre. I came away quite impressed with the big downfield arm strength this young man displayed on tape as Brayden has plenty of pop on his throws despite not all the tape yet. He also shows off some good and developing elusiveness getting out of the pocket as there is more room to grow there too. He also shows off a smoothly quick release on all three levels of his throws. If Brayden can grow more tape into next fall, I will be even more impressed I am sure. Twitter
Drew Davis
Drew Davis
Drew’s tape shows off a posistionless athlete in the 2025 class that certainly has some posistion flexibility coming out of Tioga. Translating his best fit posistion points me to outside linebacker as his hands show off quick shedding ability and sound containment on tape slowing down ball carriers around the edges. Also as a mostly blocking tight end, the double reps on both sides of the ball develop his football IQ of what is coming with both sides of where he plays. Another Davis brother from Tioga with a good next-level pedigree to watch.
Kenyon Gourneau
Kenyon Gourneau
Kenyon is a swiss-army knife that still shows off some raw skillsets on tape, but you can’t deny the posistion flexibility you have brewing with this kid. At 5’11 185 pounds Kenyon shows off good awareness with the route-running I got to watch on tape as he has good separation ability and plenty of development with his quickness on his route. Kenyon’s physicality is solid and there is a smaller window of development to show it with more tape hopefully coming soon. Twitter
The further development of Karter’s burst getting into the open field as certainly grown significantly since our last tape evaluation as the 6’5 205 pound 2025 tight end just recently picked up his first FCS offer as well from right up the road. The progressive instinct Karter has grown has also stuck a chord out on tape, as his vision and twitchy change of direction certainly shows off why Karter is our TE1 in the North Dakota 2025 class. Karter also intrigues me with his blocking-only TE tape, as this kid shows how excellent he is getting leverage with his pad-level and you see consistency with his angle blocking which all these skillsets show to me a loaded football IQ that will 100% show why he is a Division I target this summer at camps.
