As a reminder, Prep Redzone is updating the 2025 Rankings in March. We are reviewing between 300-400 football players to make sure all of their information is correct and based on play in the 2023 season and timely input, get the rankings as representative as possible.
Listed below are Monday’s Tale of the Tape Warriors. As many of you know, after hours and hours of analysis the lines begin to blur and a lot of the players start to look similar. Thankfully, there are guys like these below that snap me back to attention.
Listed below are the Monday Five:
Dimitri Washington Dimitri Washington 6'3" | 305 lbs | OL Maize | 2025 State KS , 6’3, 305, C/G, Maize, (pictured above) is ranked #107. The man-mountain in the middle, he is a top-flight center who can play anywhere along the offensive line. He is a brawler of a blocker who walls off the defense on the run and is effective shifting to pass pro. He has good feet and moves well laterally for his size, blocking well in space or locking on linebackers. He has a strong lower body and powerful hands that he uses to make the initial strike on the defender. He has above average mechanics and is able to get good leverage and positioning which typically ends in a piledriving block into the turf. He is large and in charge at center and provides the Maize offense with a solid anchor in the middle. He is going to be a stellar add to somebody’s college roster by the end of the year.
Landon Harp Landon Harp 5'11" | 175 lbs | ATH Andale | 2025 State KS , 6’0, 205, RB/DB, Andale, is ranked #183. He is coming off an excellent junior campaign as a two-way performer for the always competitive Andale program. An old-school multi-positional player, he plays tailback and fullback on offense, any of the secondary positions on the defensive side of the ball and plays light’s out on special teams. As a tailback he is a big, strong running back who shreds arm tackles and is a slashing, elusive runner once he breaks into space. He is also a bone-crushing blocker as a fullback and lead blocker. On defense he really shines as a headhunting cornerback who reads and reacts quickly and flies to the football. He can play as a strong-armed lock-down corner or float in zone and use his instincts and play recognition to break up pass plays. He is also a special-teams warrior who can be counted on to consistently make the big play.
Koby Le Koby Le 6'1" | 240 lbs | DL Emporia | 2025 State KS , 6’1, 255, DE, Emporia, is ranked #35. He is coming off a junior season when he made his name as a versatile performer on both sides of the ball. On offense he can be used almost anywhere, as a lineman if needed, but also as freight train of a fullback on short yardage and in the red zone or as a big-target tight end. On the defensive side of the ball he is a big, athletic defensive end who is a blur coming off the edge or in administering his trade mark bull rush. On running plays he seals off the perimeter and collapses down on running plays inside the tackles. He has quick feet and moves laterally very well for his size. He uses his hands and arms to crush would-be blockers and for busting opposing players in the chops. He is going to make some noise in 2024.
Keveon Ruiz Keveon Ruiz 6'2" | 170 lbs | ATH Medicine Lodge | 2025 State KS , 6’2, 180, QB, Medicine Lodge, is ranked #131. He is coming off a standout junior season when he passed for 2,029 yards, completing 133 out of 245 passes for 19 touchdowns and a 91.0 quarterback rating. He is also a dual threat QB, adding over 400 yards rushing on the season. He has good size and is very athletic, particularly when extending plays with his legs. He has a strong arm and throws an accurate ball, especially on rollout passes and when scrambling. He is not super polished as a passer just yet, as he tends to wind up to throw instead of having a compact shoulder rotation and release. However, that is something he can tighten up. He can make all the throws, from different launch angles and off platform. He is already a dangerous performer, but once he puts some polish on his passing he will be a dominating force.
Jace Adler Jace Adler 6'3" | 175 lbs | DB Andover Central | 2025 State KS , 6’3, 185, ATH, Andover Central, is ranked #149. He is coming off an extraordinary junior season when he was all state on offense, defense and as a return man on special teams. He is a gifted athlete who is long and fast, as well as elusive and difficult to bring down in the open field. On offense he can play any of the skill positions, including QB, but is used as a weapon as a wide receiver. He has a big catch radius, goes up to the apex-point for the ball and is almost unstoppable in the end zone. On defense he is a ballhawk defensive back who plays like a centerfielder free safety, reading the quarterback and the scheme as one of the top interceptors in the state. As a return man, he uses his speed, elusiveness and acceleration to destroy coverage teams. He is one of the top athletes in the state. Definitely get your popcorn folks.
In conclusion, get ready to hear a lot about these stars in the making in this fall. And, as usual, if you have questions, comments, or want to pass on players flying under the radar feel free to DM me on X.
