Jack Manthey
The kicker from Regis had a great sophomore season to kick off his varsity career. He went 39 for 42 on PATs and 9/11 on field goals. His longest field goal was 52 yards. Regis’ offense was consistently putting up 2 or more touchdowns a game, leaving Manthey the opportunity to expand on his kicking ability. Manthey has very good kick power and a long range. It is impressive for a sophomore to be able to make a 52-yard field goal. Jack has very good kick accuracy, and the stats back it up. I’m excited to see what he does throughout his high school career.
Will Beauregard
Will Beauregard
Another rising sophomore in the state of Colorado is Will Beauregard. In his first season starting as the varsity kicker for Denver East, Will added a good performance on his resume. He went 36 for 37 on PATs and 6 for 6 on FGs. His longest field goal was 43 yards. Beauregard possesses all the abilities a team wants from their kicker. He has good kick power and can bomb it downfield. Will has very good kick accuracy and it really impressed me. He only missed 1 kick throughout the season and it was a PAT. He had a great performance over this past season, and it deserves to be recognized. Excited to see more from him!
Luke Schmitten
Luke Schmitten
The senior out of ThunderRidge capped off his high school career with another phenomenal season under his belt. Throughout the season, he went 27/28 on PATs and 5/8 on FGs with 46 yards being his longest. Schmitten demonstrated good kick power and good range. Schmitten showed good kick accuracy throughout the season as well. Dependable kicker who is able to get the job done. Schmitten can make all the kicks, and should have more eyes on him.
Christian Montero
Christian Montero
There’s a lot of sophomores on this list, and Montero is another stellar name to watch out for. In his second season starting for the varsity team, Montero went 35/37 on PATs and 11/15 on FGs. Montero’s longest field goal was 50 yards. Montero has a cannon for a leg. He has a great ability to launch the ball while still being accurate. Montero demonstrated good kick accuracy throughout the season. He’s a dependable kicker who doesn’t fall short to the occasion. I’m excited to follow the rest of his high school career and see how he continues to develop.
Mason Walters
Mason Walters
The only junior on this list is coming out of Valor Christian. Walters is in his 3rd year starting for the Eagles, and has been consistent in all 3 of them. Throughout the season, he went 31 for 33 on PATs and 9 for 12 on FGs. His longest field goal was 55 yards. Walters has very good kick power, and can bomb it down the field with ease. Mix that with his very good kick accuracy, and he is a formidable opponent on the special teams side. Walters has been consistent and dependable during his career at Valor. I’m excited to see how he builds upon that for his senior year.
