Connor Moreland Connor Moreland 6'0" | 190 lbs | QB Speedway | 2026 State IN – Speedway – 6’1″ 205lbs
Moreland’s sophomore season was overall, decent. He showed flash, progress, and development on the field with his mechanics, but he’s yet to reach his full potential. He’s a tall QB who prefers to stay in the pocket, go through his reads, and make the right throw. He’s got a smooth delivery and is fairly accurate. He doesn’t have the biggest arm, but it’s capable and he’s hitting the weight room so there’s a chance the arm strength continues to improve. While I mentioned he prefers to stay in the pocket, that’s not to say he’s a bad athlete. He’s agile and has good pocket awareness. He’ll extend plays and keep his eyes downfield, but he prefers to stay home and deliver. Having the ability to drop the ball in over the shoulder of a WR downfield is big, and Moreland has that. His sophomore season saw him complete 60% of his throws for 1900 yards and 15 TDs. A step in the right direction, but I could really see him taking off this fall.

Kodie Young – Portage – 5’11” 170lbs
I can see Young quickly becoming a favorite recruit in the region because of his aggressiveness with the ball. He’s a gunslinger, has a gunslinger release, and isn’t afraid to try sticking the ball in tight spots. There are times it gets him in trouble, as it does every gunslinger, but after year 1 of starting he made some pretty wicked throws and overall has the program pretty excited about what he could be. He’s quick with his decisions and likes to get the ball out. There are times he will stay locked on a receiver and try making the throw, but that’s the development and what reps are for. He’s young, but he’s talented and has plenty of confidence. On top of that, he’s quick. He can take off and run if things around him break down. His best game of the year was against Chesterton where he threw for 335 yards and 2 TDs with a season-high at the time of 18 completions. It was the first full game where things began to slow down for Young and he just played ball. I’m anxious to see what he does in year 2 because year 1 was exciting.

David Callison David Callison 5'11" | 160 lbs | QB Northrop | 2026 State IN – Northrop – QB – 5’11” 170lbs
Transferring over from Carroll and making the transition from WR, it was year 1 for Callison under all those changes and yet, he still went out there and showed some promise while dealing with tons of adversity. He’s confident in the pocket and can fire the ball with some heat. He’s willing to stick it in a tight spot and give his guy a chance. He also throws with anticipation downfield and can hit guys in stride which is always nice to see when you have such little time in the pocket. It felt like he was avoiding pressure as much as he was doing anything else. Not his fault by any means, but it’s a great opportunity to see his athletiscm and escapability. He’s hard to bring down in the open field and frustrates DBs because of it. With 820 passing yards and 5 TDs in a handful of games while rotating, it was enough to show the upside. Year 2 in the system, being more confident in everything around him, and just getting to know the guys better should help him take off next fall. Callison is a guy nobody knows right now, but if he plays to his potential, could be a guy who skyrockets.
