Callison has drastically improved every year of his HS career. He started as a QB who showed potential, but didn’t quite have the grasp of fully playing QB. He’s worked his tail off since his freshman year, and it’s paid dividends. He’s been at a few PRZ camps and left as an MVP last winter. His completion percentage from his junior to his senior year jumped almost 13%. This year, he’s completing 62.5% of his throws and has thrown for 2312 yards, 23 TDs, and added another 200 yards on the ground. His confidence, understanding, and raw mechanics of the game have improved year after year, and I think his senior year, he really put it all together.

Callison and Northrop were out to make a statement in week 1, it’s just disappointing people in the stands can’t behave and had the game canceled. Despite half the game getting shut down, Northrop was torching New Haven. Callison was 13 for 18 with 295 yards and 5 TDs. His comfort in this offense is night and day to where it was when he first arrived. He gives Northrop a legit chance to compete and good as looked on Friday, I’m excited to see them moving forward.

Good accuracy int he short/intermediate game and throws ball with zip over the middle of the field. Flashes being able to drop it in the bucket on the deep ball. Strong anticipation, rhythm and timing. Very mobile Q who can roll out, throw on the move and elude rushers to buy time.

Callison has a solid arm; he can hit receivers in stride on the deep ball and shows good accuracy over the MOF. He has good mobility to elude rushers and buy time with his legs.

It was a great day for Callison; he checked many boxes. He tested great and was one of the more consistent players at the position. He’s come a long way from transitioning from WR and throws a nice catchable ball. He was hitting guys in stride just about every rep and nailed his important 1 on 1s. Northrop’s offense struggled this year, but Callison improved in every category and clearly got more comfortable with the offense. After seeing him today and the progress he’s made, I think Callison could be a hidden gem.
