The wide receiver position has become a more heavily recruited position as more aggressive take shape in the college ranks. We are going to highlight several wide outs in the class of 2027 to watch out for as spring football approaches.
Tayshawn Edwards Tayshawn Edwards 5'9" | 155 lbs | WR Warren | 2027 State AR -Wide Receiver-Warren-5’9” 155-Pounds
Tayshawn Edwards Tayshawn Edwards 5'9" | 155 lbs | WR Warren | 2027 State AR has terrific speed that can slice up opposing defenses on the vertical routes. He forces opposing secondaries to adjust to him because of his threat to take the pattern deep on any play. Edwards has soft hands and can haul in anything that is thrown in his direction. With a scholarship offer from Ole Miss to his credit, I look for Edwards to open plenty of eyes with his receiving skills over the next few months.
Pierre Pickens Pierre Pickens 6'3" | 195 lbs | WR Little Rock Christian | 2027 State AR -Wide Receiver-Little Rock Christian-6’3” 195-Pounds
Pierre Pickens Pierre Pickens 6'3" | 195 lbs | WR Little Rock Christian | 2027 State AR is a matchup nightmare for opposing secondaries to contend with on the field. He uses his physical tools extremely well to high point the football. Pickens has the quickness needed to create separation from opposing defensive backs in the passing game. He is a consistent target in the red zone with his ability to go up and snag the football in the air. Pickens is a wide receiver to watch out for as we approach spring football. I expect a big 2024 season from the talented wide receiver.
Andrew Givens Andrew Givens 5'10" | 150 lbs | WR Fayetteville | 2027 State AR -Wide Receiver-Fayetteville-5’10” 145-Pounds

He is a crisp route runner that does a nice job of creating separation in the passing game. Givens has the speed to stretch the field deep. He is a versatile prospect that can be used effectively in the run and passing game. Givens is a player to watch out for over the next couple of seasons for the Bulldogs.
Tyler Galloway Tyler Galloway 5'10" | 160 lbs | WR Pulaski Academy | 2027 State AR -Wide Receiver-Pulaski Academy-5’10” 160-Pounds
Tyler Galloway Tyler Galloway 5'10" | 160 lbs | WR Pulaski Academy | 2027 State AR is another versatile prospect that sees playing time on both sides of the ball for Pulaski Academy. He has good hands and looks everything in before making a move. Galloway is a wide receiver to watch out for over the next couple of seasons for Pulaski Academy.
Deandre Shockley Deandre Shockley 5'10" | 170 lbs | WR Searcy | 2027 State AR -Wide Receiver-Searcy-5’10” 170-Pounds
The Searcy Lion do not have a problem producing prospects at the skill positions. He does a nice job of using his quickness to create separation from opposing defensive backs. Shockley makes moves after the catch and has no problem turning a short gain into an explosive one. The Searcy wide receiver is a prospect to watch out for in the passing game over the next few years.
