This week, Prep Redzone Scout Drew Johnson will highlight instrumental recruits who have consistently produced this season. As noted frequently, Prep Redzone Florida aims to provide adequate coverage of all athletes for college coaches At All Levels and readers to evaluate.
Jaelyn Powell Jaelyn Powell 5'8" | 165 lbs | RB FL | RB | 2027 | Jones | @Jaelynpowell08
One of the true rising 2027 RB prospects made a recent move over to Jones High School after displaying his ability to be an explosive and high-upside running back prospect at Bishop Moore. Powell is a versatile athlete at 5-9, 180-pounds with good balance combined with developing footwork that he continues to develop in the offseason. It’s the dedication to putting in work that’ll pay off in the spring and fall periods. It also caught the attention of West Virginia who verbally offered Powell in early February. He’s another riser who’ll have the chance to lock in college interest heading into the spring.
Joaquin Kavouklis | QB | 2027 | @joaquinkav10
The 6-1, 180-pound freshman is developing into a potential Power 5 prospect after gaining invaluable experience in his first year being thrown in the fire. He finished his inaugural high school season with 1,608 passing yards and 13 touchdowns and has only continued to progress in the offseason. Look out for Kavouklis to start getting some big-time interest/offers. With the recent closer of Clearwater Academy International, his next high school move will be big-time.
Landon Daughtery | QB | 2027 | Gadsden County | @landodougherty
A premier 2027 QB prospect in the North Florida area has earned the deserved attention as he recently got his first Power 4 offer from Duke University. The 6’5, 185-pounder is poised to develop into a national recruit after sharing reps in his freshman season. Solid footwork mechanics and a big arm is what I’ve noticed when watching his film. Have to get eyes on this young riser during the camp or 7v7 period.
Nino Joseph | RB | 2027 | Lely | @njoseph015
2023 stats: 150 carries – 1,055 yards – 10 touchdowns
This kid will be an elite running back prospect as he finished as one of the top performers in his area in just one year on varsity.
Deonte Fielder | ATH | 2027 | Haines City | @DeonteFielder1
Fielder has stepped up for Haines City this season and has fulfilled multiple roles. He was instrumental in the Hornets’ huge District championship upset win over Bartow where he scored one of the games only touchdowns. He’s a pure athlete who just gets it done when the balls are in his hands. One of the biggest risers in the Polk County area this season as a freshman.
Noah Flores | ATH | 2027 | Satellite | @nflores_671
Flores has to be one of the more underrated 2027 prospects in the state. It’s why the 7v7 off-season can be productive because it allows us to find versatile slept-on prospects like this kid who hasn’t gotten the deserved coverage. He’s continuing to grow into his frame but already has the physical tools and package. Another riser that’ll be known heading into the spring.
Damian Ty Keister | QB | 2027 | Englewood | @keister_ty10
