Colgate, one of the many high academic FCS schools in the northeast is not only a home state school but one that has continuously taken talent from all around New York State. Colgate is a consistent threat in the Patriot League last wining the league outright in 2018 and have multiple competitive and top three finishes since. Winning 6 of their last 7 games in 2023 Colgate continued their momentum into signing day in December when it inked four players who played their HS ball in New York and a 5th who after a strong career in New York did a post-graduate year in Connecticut. This article will include both scholarship and walk-on players because not only are both integral to the success of college football programs but at the FCS level with a lower scholarship limit, walk-on prospects are recruited just as hard and often receive playing time.
