Fires out of his stance low and shows good toughness in the run game. Good athlete who was asked to get out in space and line up opponents; can also chip and climb. Has a strong understanding of positioning to wall off defenders in the run game. Not the thickest tackle but shows good power in his upper body to generate torque and can occasionally sling down opposing blockers. Capitalizes on opportunities to put defenders in the dirt. Pass sets look good with a straight back, a sufficiently wide base and good knee-bend; very effective at maintaining his balance and replicating his form on a snap-to-snap basis. Keeps his hands nice and tight, with an active punch and strong overall placement; does a good job of resetting.
Has impressive pop in his hands to jolt defenders on contact. Able to bulldoze the outside shoulder and collapse the defensive line. Shows good leg drive and a solid work rate to finish his blocks through the whistle. Knows how to position himself and use his size to wall off opponents. Has a sufficiently wide base and some knee-bend in his pass sets. Sheer bulk allows him to compete against speed rushers. Pretty active about firing out his punch with good placement inside. Has the lower-body strength to anchor against power.

Short-area quickness is impressive, especially considering his size; was frequently asked to climb up to the second level and is effective at engaging linebackers with form. Does a nice job of playing within his frame with proper balance. Shows a strong understanding of positioning to wall off opponents. Technically sound in his pass sets — stable base, adequate knee bend and a straight back. Lateral quickness is good enough to protect the edge against most rushers.

Appears to have good power in his hands to jolt defenders on contact. Shows some understanding of positioning and can rely on his size and lower-body strength to wall off opponents in the run game. Adequate straight-line speed in a short area to climb to the second level; not always able to successfully engage but creates disruption. Flashes the ability to bend at the knees and execute short, choppy steps in his kick slide. Active with his punch in pass protection with what looks like good placement and the ability to reset his hands.
