Zach Lawrence Zach Lawrence 6'2" | 205 lbs | QB Butler | 2025 State NC – Butler
If you have followed Charlotte football for a while, you know Zach has developed into a Division 1 football recruit with hard work and dedication. He has developed into more of a dual-threat quarterback and has to be accounted for by any defense for his running ability as well as his arm. Marshall and Coastal Carolina are the latest schools to offer the talented recruit. Zach stands at 6’1 and 195 pounds and sports a 4.28 GPA. He helped lead the Bulldogs to the 4th round of the state playoffs last season and will have some excellent players returning on offense to help him try to push the Bulldogs deeper into the playoffs next season. He has excellent accuracy, and good arm strength, and has developed into a strong leader.
Justin Little Justin Little 5'11" | 175 lbs | QB Independence | 2025 State NC – Independence
Justin currently holds several offers from colleges on the next level, and he had a strong junior year to keep that interest hot and many schools after his services on the next level. Standing at 5’11 and 175 pounds, he sports a 4.0 GPA and helped lead the Patriots to the state semifinals last season, the deepest run they have had since their glory days in the 2000s. Little excels at making smart decisions in their RPO-based offense and is a true dual-threat player who can take a run the distance. Little has excellent agility and speed in the open field. As a passer, he displays excellent accuracy and great touch throwing the football.
Charlie Smith Charlie Smith 6'2" | 195 lbs | QB Charlotte Catholic | 2025 State NC – Charlotte Catholic
At 6’2 and 195 pounds, I saw Charlie up close at a showcase when he was a young prospect. In a talented field, he earned a Top 5 selection, and that opened a lot of people’s eyes to him as a prospect. Fast forward to today, and Charlie is getting a ton of recruiting interest and offers – his most recent offers are from Georgia Southern, Arkansas State, Yale, Marshall, Connecticut, and Toledo. Charlie is a strong pocket quarterback, with enough athletic ability to extend plays with his legs. He displays a strong, accurate arm and really expanded his game this past season. I expect Charlie to continue his strong run of interest and offers among multiple universities through the summer.
Trey Blakeney Trey Blakeney 6'2" | 210 lbs | QB Hough | 2025 State NC – Hough
A 1st team all-conference performer, Trey had a strong season as he helped lead the Huskies deep into the state playoffs this past season. Standing at 6’2 and 190 pounds, Trey has had a lot of college recruiting interest and holds offers from Charlotte and East Carolina currently. I really like Trey’s accuracy from the pocket and the way he delivers the ball on time and consistently when operating the Hough offense. Trey does have good athletic ability and can be a threat as a runner in the quarterback run game.
Khalel Wright Khalel Wright 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB Charlotte Country Day | 2025 State NC – Country Day
Standing at 6’2 and 185 pounds, Khalel had another strong season and as a result, has garnered a good bit of recruiting interest from multiple schools. He currently holds offers from Prarie View A&M and North Carolina Central. He is a dual-threat player with a strong arm, and has consistently been the biggest threat on his team the last couple of years. It has been impressive to see him perform so well. I saw him up close at a camp recently, and I am impressed with him as an athlete – he moves well in general with good agility and explosion out of cuts. I expect for him to continue to pickup interest as we head into camp season in the spring and summer.
