Top 1S District 4 QB Spotlight: Post Season Analysis

With the 2023 season over, I'm doing an analyses of quarterback prospects from every Classification/Region/District in Florida. Doing these analyses allows me to spotlight a lot of players. There are a lot of young talented prospects and several sleeper prospects that could start getting looks for the next level. Prep Redzone Florida will always promote everybody in hopes of them getting the opportunity of playing college football at the next level.       [player_tooltip player_id='736787' first='Joseph' last='Allen']- Melbourne Central Catholic c/o 27   6'2 202lbs    Allen is an up-and-coming prospect that led the Hustlers to a 9-3 record, district championship, and into the Regional Finals of the State Playoffs. Allen was the top quarterback in the district throwing for 2174 yards, completed 60% of his passes with 29 touchdowns. He also rushed for 2 touchdowns. Allen is the top returning quarterback in the district in 2024.   Strengths:   <ul> <li>Powerful arm with a quick compact release </li>   <li>Does a good job climbing the pocket and throwing strikes downfield </li>   <li>Sees the field well and works through his progressions efficiently</li> </ul>   Film: <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/19674802/Joseph-Allen">https://www.hudl.com/profile/19674802/Joseph-Allen</a>       [player_tooltip player_id='1324028' first='Jacob' last='Lohman']- Father Lopez High c/o 25   6'2 180lbs    Lohman was a first-year starter and really played well this season. He finished second in the district in passing with 1953 yards, completing 51% of his passes with 22 touchdowns. He also had a rushing touchdown. Unfortunately, he doesn't have any updated Hudl film to evaluate, but Lohman is a two-sport athlete (Basketball) and is a player to watch out for over the Spring.   Strengths:   N/A   Film: N/A       [player_tooltip player_id='1143156' first='Brogan' last='McNab']- Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy c/o 26   5'11 175lbs    McNab had a solid sophomore season leading the Tigers to a 7-4 record, and into the State playoffs. He finished third in the district throwing for 1620 yards, completing 65% of his passes with 17 touchdowns. He also finished with 842 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns! McNab set school records for highest QBR and rushing yards by a QB. McNab has offers from Marshall and UMass.   Strengths:   <ul> <li>Shows good burst and acceleration through the hole </li>   <li>Gunslinger mentality that attacks every inch of the field</li>   <li>Footwork, mechanics, and setup inside the pocket are polished</li> </ul>   Film: <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/18271474/Brogan-McNab">https://www.hudl.com/profile/18271474/Brogan-McNab</a>       Karl Nelson- Halifax Academy c/o 26   Nelson is an up-and-coming QB in the district that showed improvement throughout the season. He finished fourth in the district throwing for 1098 yards, completing 50% of his passes, with 11 touchdowns. Nelson also rushed for 345 yards and 3 touchdowns. Nelson will be one of the top returning quarterbacks in the district in 2024. Unfortunately, he doesn't have any updated Hudl film to evaluate, but is a player for coaches to check out this Spring.
