SOUTH DAKOTA-- For my second edition of 2025 Winter stockrisers in South Dakota, we get to meet our new TE1, a handful of prospects I would recruit outside the threeshold, and two prospects I feel prospect camps will do the justice to show off their upside.

Coming in as our new TE1 in the 2025 class in this 2025 winter update is [player_tooltip player_id='892813' first='Dalyn' last='Dschaak'] of Sturgis Brown. Dalyn impressees me with his hand length as he shows off on tape as a TE prospect that has a smooth transition with his hands back to the ball when it's slightly off his line. His quick first step off the ball shows hybrid flexibility between a tight end and a wide receiver in my eyes as his athletic lateral movement certainly show that off. Dalyn also shows off the agility on his routes as he is effective with his start/stop ability with his route-running. We always preach evaluating prospects on their development, and I believe Dalyn is a perfect example of that as you certainly grow this young man in the weight room significantly over the coming years.

If you like seeing fluid looking track speed on the gridirion, you might want to tune into watching [player_tooltip player_id='798291' first='Jackson' last='Boonstra'] out of Dakota Valley who moved up almost double-digit spots in our 2025 update. Not only is Jackson's fluiid with his burst, he also show quick instincts with his change of direction that shows off a one-cut back that can do some damage with his explosion. Jackson shows off one of my favorite finishers amongst running backs in the state as despite being undersized this kid fights like heck for every yard he can get and the wrestling background certainly helps with that durability getting yards after contact. Being undersized hasn't phased the interest so far for Jackson as one of my favorite prospects in the state you go outside the measurables threeshold for.

One of the biggest stockrisers on tonight's list, and one that I fully admit I missed the bus on last time and should have been on, is Florence-Henry's [player_tooltip player_id='800441' first='Karter' last='Kohlenberg']. If it hasn't been made clear that I love running backs that show off their finish with the durability they bring to the table, you will want to meet this small school hidden gem. The elusive balance around the edges that Karter shows off with his footwork are impressive as the consistency that is shown shows him as a prospect that you don't want to meet in the open field with his agile presence. I have said it before and I will say it again, Karter is one of the fastest prospects that NE South Dakota has to offer and you WILL love the position flexibility this kid offers as swiss army knife that showed off some impressive testing numbers I witnessed last summer at Augustana as this kid's explosion really impressed me in his jumps at camp.

[player_tooltip player_id='1003937' first='Domonic' last='Ghost Bear'], WR, Pine Ridge Twitter

If you remember from my last 2025 South Dakota rankings update, I penciled in [player_tooltip player_id='1003937' first='Domonic' last='Ghost Bear'] as a probable stockriser at wide receiver, and that early evaluation lived up to last week's 2025 in my eyes. Domonic is a wide receiver that I love the long-legged springs he shows on his routes as you can tell he has grown his instincts since our last evaluation. Domonic also has the big-play athleticism that shows off firmly around the edges of the field as I like his awareness and athleticism he shows off on the 50/50 ball where he utilizes his vertical. I cannot wait to see this young man flourish his upside at prospect camps this summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1003934' first='Drake' last='Jellema'], DB, Brandon Valley Twitter

Another 2025 prospect that saw his stock rose in our 2025 rankings was Brandon Valley defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='1003934' first='Drake' last='Jellema'], who was another near double-digit overall stockriser. Drake is a safety prospectthat has in my eyes well-versed poise in his footwork and plays with a plethora of instincts that I see further progression within our 2025 South Dakota rankings. He also has position flexibility from either safety spot as he can be seen as a downhill attacker to stuff the run or can cover the deep route with his versatility he brings with his excellent range all over the field for the Lynx. I also am impressed with Drake's physicality in 1v1 coverage as when that opportunity arises, he rises to the occasion. I expect him to follow up his jump this this time, into a bigger jump amongst our 2025 stockrisers by next update, as this kid will impress some scholarship-level programs this summer.
