With this list, we have a handful of prospects deserving and some that college recruiters will look at their athletic upside and see what we see already.
For 6’6 300 pounds, Elias shows much more foot speed than I envisioned when I first looked at his tape for his frame as I was highly impressed. He also shows off excellent pad-level that is right on the mark at the point of attack and is versatile with the blocking schemes he can incorporate in as one that constantly gets to the second level and finishes how you want a Division I level target to finish downhill. And do not get me started, when Elias gets downhill on a pull-block his combo-blocking ability is one of the most physical I have seen in the Dakotas in the last few years. High academic prospect as well, with a 4.0 GPA. I would have offered this young man yesterday if I was a D1 college recruiter.
The amount of length that Austin has at his disposal and how long his athleticism is while penetrating downhill has certainly shown to be a tough matchup for any offensive linemen to go up against. It is also the agility with quick and efficient hands that Austin has at nearly 6’7 215 pounds that will be eye-popping to college coaches as they get him on campus and to prospect camps this summer. The instincts Austin plays within the run and pass game show a ton of poise as a prospect that will come into our 2025 rankings later this week as one of the top newcomers on our 2025 recruiting board in South Dakota.
Highlights
I have yet to figure out and will likely never figure out what is in the water in Brandon, SD that continuously breeds massive offensive linemen with the next one in the 2025 class being 6’5 275 pound Lucas Feldkamp Lucas Feldkamp 6’5″ | 285 lbs | OL Brandon Valley | 2025 State SD . Lucas impresses me from the start with his athletic bend at the line that emphasizes the low man wins mentality with the early leverage he is able to create at the point of attack. Not only does Lucas get excellent leverage, but I love how he shows off a OT prospect that blocks until the whistle blows as his second clip on tape shows all that and more what a grinder of an offensive linemen looks like at the Division I level. I am surprised Lucas is not one of those early offer Division I targets as it is clear as day that both sides of the trenches dominate this 2025 class in South Dakota and Lucas Feldkamp Lucas Feldkamp 6’5″ | 285 lbs | OL Brandon Valley | 2025 State SD is another one up next.
Moshe on tape does a lot with a little when it comes to the length of his tape, yet the flashes of athleticism he has show off quickly at 6’3 195 pounds. Moshe shows plenty of physicality with his route-running ability and has the wide catch-radius you want to see at the FCS level in my eyes. Moshe also does a great job with his ball-tracking and has very quick instincts when it’s his turn to make a play to get free into the open field. I like the route creativity of his routes as well, as he certainly shows off his versatility he has at his disposal as a WR prospect that I think shows off good upside to grow his route-running even further as he plays the role as a swiss army knife on offense for the Warbirds. His track background also intrigues me as well with his size.
Talk about a prospect that has turned it up since my live evaluation last summer, that would be Dakota Valley’s Easton Van Scoyk Easton Van Scoyk 6’3″ | 245 lbs | DL Dakota Valley | 2025 State SD . The violence this 6’3 245 pounder has in his punch has to be one of the most pummeling in South Dakota 11-man football in the 2025 class. And he doesn’t just show off that physicality on the offensive side of the ball, it nearly matches up in the defensive trenches as a two-way prospect that as of right now we have graded as a defensive end. The rangey length and instincts that Easton has grown has certainly elevated last summer, as I expect his stock to grow over the next couple months as a DL/OL prospect that has plenty of upside to grow especially in the weight room.
